Background: The recent introduction of biological drugs specifically targeting the interleukins involved in psoriasis pathogenesis revolutionized the therapeutic scenario of moderate to severe forms of psoriasis. Among these, risankizumab, an anti-IL-23, was shown to be effective both in clinical trials and real-life experiences. However, data on its use on very severe forms of psoriasis, defined by a Psoriasis Area Severity Index (PASI) of at least 30, are scant.

Introduction: Current treatment options for BRAF V600-mutated unresectable stage III/IV melanoma include anti-PD-1 monotherapy or combination with anti-CTLA-4 or anti-LAG-3 agents, BRAF/MEK inhibitors, and clinical trials. The strategy of combination immunotherapy with nivolumab and ipilimumab has shown promising results, achieving higher response rates, longer duration of response, improved progression-free survival, and enhanced overall survival. The optimal sequence of treatments remains a topic of interest, with preliminary data suggesting a greater effectiveness of immunotherapy as the first-line approach.

The aim of this study was to test the effect of hyaluronic acid cross-linked with polyethylene glycol containing micronized portions of calcium hydroxyapatite (Neauvia Stimulate) on both local tissue and systemic consequences, which are crucial from the perspective of long-term safety, in patients suffering from Hashimoto's disease. This most common autoimmune disease is a frequently mentioned contraindication to the use of fillers based on hyaluronic acid as well as biostimulants based on calcium hydroxyapatite. Broad-spectrum aspects of histopathology were analyzed to identify key features of inflammatory infiltration before the procedure and 5, 21, and 150 days after the procedure.

Introduction: Psoriasis has not been directly linked to a poor prognosis for COVID-19, yet immunomodulatory agents used for its management may lead to increased vulnerability to the dangerous complications of SARS-CoV-2 infection, as well as impair the effectiveness of the recently introduced vaccines. The three-dose antibody response trend and the safety of BNT162b2 mRNA vaccine in psoriasis patients treated with biologic drugs have remained under-researched.

Materials And Methods: Forty-five psoriatic patients on biologic treatment were enrolled to evaluate their humoral response to three doses of BNT162b2.

The proposed role of interleukin (IL)-17 in vitiligo pathogenesis, as well as the possible action of anti-IL-17A drugs on vitiligo, are not fully understood. The appearance of vitiligo as a paradoxical effect of treatment with anti-tumor necrosis factor-α drugs is an event well known in the literature, but is rarely described with anti-IL-17A drugs. In this case report, we describe a 42-year-old woman who developed new-onset vitiligo with repigmentation during successful secukinumab therapy for psoriatic arthritis.

A striking feature of skin organization is that the extracellular matrix (ECM) occupies a larger volume than the cells. Skin ECM also directly contributes to aging and most cutaneous diseases. In recent years, specific ECM enrichment protocols combined with in silico approaches allowed the proteomic description of the matrisome of various organs and tumor samples.

Background: During the recent COVID-19 outbreak, masks became mandatory and shortages frequent, therefore the prevalence of non-CE (European Conformity Mark) approved masks increased in the general population. We aimed to quantify the prevalence of mask-related cutaneous side effects and the differences between CE and non-CE approved masks.

Methods: In this multicenter prospective observational study conducted from March 20, 2020 to May 12, 2020(during and after quarantine), patients attending emergency departments for a dermatological consult were clinically assessed and their masks were inspected to detect CE marks and UNI (Italian National Unification Entity) norms.

Among the most recent biologic drugs available for psoriasis therapy, those targeting interleukin-17 (secukinumab and ixekizumab) or its receptor (brodalumab) have been shown to be quickly effective. However, in those patients who failed one or more of the above-cited drugs, real-life data on the effectiveness of switching to one anti-interleukin-23 biologic (guselkumab, risankizumab, or tildrakizumab) are very scarce. Here, we report our experience in treating 12 multi-failure psoriatic patients, prospectively followed-up over 6 months, who showed a significant improvement in their psoriasis after switching from an anti-interleukn-17 to an anti-interleukin-23 drug.
