The Convergent procedure comprises epi- and endocardial ablation of the left atrium and represents an effective alternative to conventional endocardial ablation in patients with therapy-resistant atrial fibrillation. The LARIAT approach allows the epi- and endocardial closure of the left atrial appendage and effectively reduces the risk of stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation.
