This study aimed to investigate the impact of adding aroeira leaf extract (Schinus terebinthifolius Raddi) to a yam starch film matrix, focusing on the development of potentially active films and the evaluation of their physicochemical, mechanical, optical, and antioxidant properties. Films were produced using the casting method with varying extract concentrations (0, 3, 6, 12, and 15 %), yam starch (2 %), and glycerol (1 %). The antioxidant properties were analyzed by determining the total phenolic content, 2,2-Diphenyl-1-Picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging, ferric reducing power, and 2,2-azinobis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) radical elimination, which revealed a significant increase in antioxidant properties as the extract concentration increased.

The established consensus sequence for human 5' splice sites masks the presence of two major splice site classes defined by preferential base-pairing potentials with either U5 snRNA loop 1 or the U6 snRNA ACAGA box. Reactivation of cell division is crucial for the regeneration of damaged tissues, which is a fundamental process across all multicellular organisms. However, the mechanisms underlying the activation of cell division in plants during regeneration remain poorly understood. Myelin is an electrical insulator that enables saltatory nerve conduction and is essential for proper functioning of the central nervous system (CNS). Determining the handedness of helical nanocoils using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) has traditionally been challenging due to the deep depth of field and transmission nature of TEM, complementary techniques are considered necessary and have been practiced such as low angle rotary shadowing, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), or atomic force microscopy (AFM). Although recent evidence suggests that myeloid clonal hematopoiesis (M-CH) may influence lymphoma clinical outcome, its impact in mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) remains unclear. Here, we report a comprehensive NGS-based analysis of the M-CH mutational landscape at baseline and follow-up in patients enrolled in the Fondazione Italiana Linfomi (FIL) MCL0208 phase 3 trial (NCT02354313), evaluating lenalidomide maintenance versus observation after chemoimmunotherapy and autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT) in untreated young MCL patients. Overall, 254/300 (85%) enrolled patients (median age 57 years [32-66]) had a baseline sample available for CH analysis.
