[Skills assessment for the practice of fetal ultrasound biometry: Prospective validation of the OSAUS METHOD score].

Objectives: To develop and validate a customized variant for fetal biometry of the generic OSAUS score (Objective Structured Assessment of Ultrasound Skills) METHODS: The 5-points OSAUS METHOD grid was elaborated by defining five target skills specific to fetal biometry for each thematic item of the generic score. The level of skills of 43 trainees was prospectively assessed during an ultrasound examination by using this grid. The results of the "novice" level group (experience<10 ultrasounds) were compared to those of the "intermediate" level group (experience≥10 ultrasounds) (I).

Incidence of leptospirosis in the French armed forces from 2004 to 2018: Retrospective analysis.

Background: The French military personnel may be exposed to leptospirosis during their training or on duty on the field in continental France, and most of all, in intertropical areas in the French departments and in Africa. The aim of this study was to assess the incidence of leptospirosis from epidemiological surveillance and cases data from 2004 to 2018, and to propose tools to assess leptospirosis risk prior to any mission or leisure activity.

Method: A retrospective epidemiological study on leptospirosis cases among French Armed Forces was conducted.

Radiation therapy (RT) is an essential component of therapy either curative or palliative armamentarium in oncology, but its efficacy varies considerably among patients through many extrinsic and intrinsic mechanisms of the tumour, which are beginning to be better understood. Recent studies have shown that the gut microbiome represents a key factor in the modulation of the systemic immune response and consequently on patients' outcome. Moreover, the emergence of biomarkers that are derived from the gut microbiota has fuelled the development of adjuvant strategies for patients treated with immunotherapy in combination or not with RT.

When using radiation therapy for adolescents and young adults (AYA), paediatricians, adults' oncologists and radiation oncologists need to keep in mind several particularities through the whole therapeutic process. Background: Patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) have an increased risk of cardiovascular (CV) disease. Adiponectin is involved in the metabolism of glucose and lipids with favourable effects on CV disease, especially its high molecular weight (HMW) isoform. Body composition changes are described in RA with various phenotypes including obesity.

[Dosimetric factors related to postoperative pulmonary complications in locally advanced esophageal cancers treated with preoperative chemoradiotherapy: Literature review].

Introduction: Preoperative chemoradiotherapy is an option for locally advanced esophageal cancer. Radiation therapy may increase postoperative pulmonary complications. Usual lungs dose constraints in radiotherapy are old and used by extrapolation of lung cancer management.

Validity of the Good Practice Guidelines: The example of type 2 diabetes.

Aims: To assess the methodological quality of the systematic reviews of the literature for Good Practice Guidelines (GPGs) for treatment of type 2 diabetes (T2D).

Methods: The GPGs on treatment of T2D from May 2012 onwards were searched on PubMed, the Guidelines International Network, the National Guidelines Clearing House and the Infobanque des guides de pratique clinique. Quality of the GPGs was assessed by means of grading of levels of evidence, strength of recommendations, statements pertaining to systematic reviews, description of their methods, search for Randomized Controlled Trials meta-analyses, and citations from three meta-analyses which contested the strategy of intensive glycemic control and metformin as first-line treatment.

Inventory of tools for care coordination between general practice and hospital system for patients suffering from cancer in active phase of treatment: A scoping review.

Introduction: During the active phase of treatment, major difficulties appear in the transmission and quality of the information communicated to the General Practitioner (GP). Our objective was to carry out an inventory of the coordination tools used to improve exchanges between the hospital and the GP in the management of the patient suffering from cancer during this phase.

Material And Method: A scoping review was conducted using MEDLINE databases via PubMed, The Cochrane Library, Web of Science.

Introduction: Publication rates for studies reported at French Arthroscopic Society (Société francophone d'arthroscopie, SFA) meetings are not known. A comprehensive search of podium presentations to the 2014 SFA meeting was performed, assessing: (1) publication rate for meeting abstracts, and (2) bibliometric parameters including journal Impact Factor.

Hypothesis: The full-text publication rate for abstracts accepted for the 2014 French Arthroscopic Society (SFA) meeting was around 47.

Network analysis of psychotic manifestations among cocaine users.

Psychotic experiences can be described along a continuum ranging from no psychotic experience at all, to clinical psychotic disorder. Any individual in the general population may encounter psychotic experiences under certain circumstances. Transient Cocaine Induced Psychotic Symptoms (TCIPS) are a well described model of such circumstances.
