Introduction: Identifying tuberculosis infection (TBI) using interferon-gamma release assays (IGRAs) is a primary component of clinical and public health efforts to prevent pediatric tuberculosis (TB). Pediatric data comparing the 2 IGRAs in the United States are very limited. We compared the performance of the 2 IGRAs among a large pediatric cohort tested for TBI and assessed whether discordance might be due to quantitative results close to test cutoff values.

Background: Poor sleep is associated with longer recovery following adolescent concussion, making the longitudinal assessment of sleep important for monitoring recovery and identifying sleep disruptions. An important consideration for successful monitoring of sleep following concussion is the feasibility and adherence of a given sleep monitoring tool when used in an at-home environment. Understanding the usability of different sleep monitoring tools is essential for determining their applicability for longitudinal assessment in an ecologically valid environment.

Primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) is a risk factor for cholangiocarcinoma. When a child is diagnosed with both PSC and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), evidence-based information on counseling families and risk management of developing cholangiocarcinoma is limited. In this case series (PubMed/collaborators), we included patients with PSC-IBD who developed cholangiocarcinoma and contacted authors to determine an event curve specifying the time between the second diagnosis (IBD or PSC) and a diagnosis of cholangiocarcinoma.

Background: Rumination is implicated in the onset and maintenance of major depressive disorder (MDD). Rumination-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (RF-CBT) effectively targets rumination and may change resting-state brain connectivity and change in activation during a rumination induction task (RIT) post-intervention predicts depressive symptoms two years later.
