Background/objectives: Root canal treatment (RCT) is a crucial procedure for preserving dental health. While its clinical success rates are well documented, patient-reported outcomes regarding quality of life remain less explored. This study aimed to assess the long-term impact of RCT performed in an educational hospital on patients' oral-health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) using the Oral Health Impact Profile-14 (OHIP-14).

Background: The present study evaluated the effect of a bioceramic intracanal medicament (Bio-C Temp) on the push-out bond strength of bioceramic cements.
Methods: Forty-eight human single-canaled premolars were prepared and randomly divided into three groups: Group (A) received no intracanal medicament; Group (B) calcium hydroxide (CH); and Group (C) Bio-C Temp. After medicament removal, the roots were sectioned transversely.

Background: Sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) is the most efficient root canal irrigant to date. The aim of this study was to compare the effect of NaOCl used at different temperatures and concentrations on the compressive strength of root dentin.
Materials And Methods: Seventy-two extracted human single-canaled straight roots of comparable size and length were selected and randomly divided into six groups (n = 12): Group (A) served as a control with unprepared canals.

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of two spacer materials (cotton pellet and polytetrafluoroethylene [PTFE]) on gap and void formation in the Cavit restoration used for endodontic temporization. Thirty-four extracted human single-rooted premolars were matched and allocated into two groups (n = 17/group) according to the access cavity spacer (cotton pellet or PTFE). Standardized endodontic access cavities were prepared in all the teeth.

This study evaluated the bacterial infiltration and the detorque of indexed and non-indexed abutments of Morse taper implants (MTI) after mechanical cycling (MC). 40 MTI were distributed into four groups: IIA (indexed implant abutments); NIIA (non-indexed implant abutments); IIAMC (indexed implant abutments submitted to MC); NIIAMC (non-indexed implant abutments submitted to MC), which were carried out under one million 5 Hz frequency and 3 Bar pressure. After mechanical cycling, all groups were immersed in a bacterial solution in Brain Heart Infusion Agar.

: Knowledge of the oral manifestations associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection, the new coronavirus causing the COVID-19 pandemic, was hindered due to the restrictions issued to avoid proximity between people and to stop the rapid spread of the disease, which ultimately results in a hyperinflammatory cytokine storm that can cause death. Because periodontal disease is one of the most frequent inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity, various theories have emerged postulating periodontal disease as a risk factor for developing severe complications associated with COVID-19. This motivated various studies to integrate questions related to periodontal status.

The purpose of this study was to conduct a qualitative analysis of waste management practices among a group of Brazilian dental students (n=64) before and after implementing two different pedagogical methods: 1) the students attended a two-hour lecture based on World Health Organization standards; and 2) the students applied the lessons learned in an organized group setting aimed toward raising their awareness about socioenvironmental issues related to waste. All eligible students participated, and the students' learning was evaluated through their answers to a series of essay questions, which were quantitatively measured. Afterwards, the impact of the pedagogical approaches was compared by means of qualitative categorization of wastes generated in clinical activities.
