Background: Cardiac myosin binding protein C (cMyC) is an emerging new biomarker of myocardial injury rising earlier and cleared faster than cardiac troponins. Method: A nationally representative sample of 2,002 individuals aged 18 to 80 years was surveyed using the ASRS-5, with complete data obtained from 714 participants. Psychometric analysis evaluated fit to the Rasch model, response categories, dimensionality, differential item functioning, local dependency, and reliability.

Here, we reveal the electronic dynamics induced by electronic relaxation through conical intersections in both isolated and solvated pyrazine molecules using X-ray spectroscopy.

Treatment with Autologous Adipose-derived Regenerative Cells for Peyronie's Disease in Men: The Straight @head Pilot Study.

Background And Objective: We evaluated the effectiveness of injecting autologous adipose-derived regenerative cells (ADRCs) into plaque in men with chronic Peyronie's disease (PD).

Methods: This pilot safety study recruited 22 Danish men with chronic PD from an outpatient clinic. Patients received one bolus of ADRCs injected into plaque, with follow-ups at 1, 3, 6, and 12 mo.

Non-motor asymmetry and dopamine degeneration in Parkinson's disease.

Asymmetric dopaminergic degeneration of the striatum is a characteristic feature of Parkinson's disease, associated with right-left asymmetry in motor function. As such, studying asymmetry provides insights into progressive neurodegeneration between cerebral hemispheres. Given the impact of Lewy pathology on various neurotransmitter systems beyond the dopaminergic, it may be that other neuronal systems in the predominantly affected hemisphere are similarly affected.

Object pose estimation is essential for computer vision applications such as quality inspection, robotic bin picking, and warehouse logistics. Background: People with low back pain (LBP) are often recommended to self-manage their condition, but it can be challenging without support. Digital health interventions (DHIs) have shown promise in supporting self-management of LBP, but little is known about healthcare providers' (HCPs) engagement in implementing these.

Evaluation of the Nijmegen Cochlear Implant Questionnaire in Danish.

 The Nijmegen cochlear implant questionnaire (NCIQ) is a quantifiable self-assessment health-related quality of life (HRQoL) tool used internationally to determine quality of life (QoL) in cochlear implant (CI) users and to evaluate the implant's subjective benefits.  This study aimed to validate the Danish version of the questionnaire (DA-NCIQ) with a test-retest including 60 participants (30 CI users and 30 CI candidates).  The intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) were calculated to evaluate the temporal stability of the participants' answers and the internal consistency of the questionnaire domains was determined using the Cronbach alpha in order to compare these results with the NCIQ's other language versions.

Comparative technoeconomic analysis of centralised and decentralised water source heat pump systems using CATHeaPS.

In the efforts to decarbonise the heat sector, heat pumps can offer a cost-effective transition away from fossil fuels. Water Source Heat Pumps (WSHP) can be utilised in cases where ambient water sources (river, ground water, abandoned mines water) are present. However, the economic benefits of different levels of heat pump centralisation as well as their comparative advantages over other decentralised options such as individual Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) or Gas Boilers (GB) remain uncertain and further investigations are necessary to fully assess their potential.

Second primary non-myeloid malignancies following intensive treatment for adult acute myeloid leukaemia: a Danish population-based cohort study.

Background: Second primary malignancies (SPMs) are a well-known, long-term complication of antineoplastic treatment. This nationwide cohort study examined the risk of non-myeloid SPMs in survivors of adult acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) treated with intensive chemotherapy and, in some cases, allogeneic stem cell transplantation (alloSCT), compared to a matched general population.

Methods: Patients with incident AML between 2000 and 2018, alive and aged 18-70 years two years after start of intensive chemotherapy, were included and matched 1:10 to comparators from the general Danish population on sex, age, and the Nordic Multimorbidity Index.

The active layer soils of Greenlandic permafrost areas can function as important sinks for volatile organic compounds.

Permafrost is a considerable carbon reservoir harboring up to 1700 petagrams of carbon accumulated over millennia, which can be mobilized as permafrost thaws under global warming. Recent studies have highlighted that a fraction of this carbon can be transformed to atmospheric volatile organic compounds, which can affect the atmospheric oxidizing capacity and contribute to the formation of secondary organic aerosols. In this study, active layer soils from the seasonally unfrozen layer above the permafrost were collected from two distinct locations of the Greenlandic permafrost and incubated to explore their roles in the soil-atmosphere exchange of volatile organic compounds.

High prevalence of unrecognized chronic kidney disease in the Lolland-Falster Health Study: a population-based study in a rural provincial area of Denmark.

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) affects 10-15% globally and is a marked independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Prevalence estimations are essential for public health planning and implementation of CKD treatment strategies. This study aimed to estimate the prevalence and stages of CKD in the population-based Lolland-Falster Health Study, set in a rural provincial area with the lowest socioeconomic status in Denmark.
