A simple and facile microwave-assisted method was developed for the synthesis of highly fluorescent silver-nanoparticles (Ag-NPs). The synthesis of silver-nanoparticles depends on a redox reaction between silver nitrate and ascorbic acid using chitosan as a stabilizing agent. The produced Ag-NPs were characterized using Zeta potential and transmission electron microscope micrograph where they are spherical in shape with smooth surface morphology and size of 26.

On August 14, 2024, following a regional declaration by the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization declared mpox a Public Health Emergency of International Concern, marking the second such declaration in two years. A series of outbreaks involving the more virulent clade I virus (compared to clade II, which caused a global outbreak in 2022), has now spread in 13 African countries, exposing the inadequacies of the public health infrastructure in these settings. There was significant investment during the 2022 global outbreak, but these efforts failed to address vaccine access and treatment in the Global South.

Energy harvesters based on nanomaterials are getting more and more popular, but on their way to commercial availability, some crucial issues still need to be solved. The objective of the study is to select an appropriate nanomaterial. Using features of the Reinforcement Deep Q-Network (DQN) in conjunction with Fuzzy PROMETHEE, the proposed model, we present in this work a hybrid fuzzy approach to selecting appropriate materials for a vehicle-environmental-hazardous substance (EHS) combination that operates in roadways and under traffic conditions.

The research objective in the context of the study relates to the major concern of corrosion affecting the wind turbines in operation to find materials with high durability in relation to environmental conditions of operation, strength, and cost. A method is an integration of the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and VIKOR Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) techniques that will assess seven different material options on sixteen criteria that comprise corrosion resistance, mechanical properties, cost, and a negative environmental impact. From this result, the AHP method calculated the weights for the indicators and chose potential materials, and finally, the VIKOR method used these materials and compared and ranked them to obtain a compromise solution.

Background: Restoring first permanent molars affected with molar incisor hypomineralization (MIH) is challenging. Focusing on improving the quality of life for children affected by MIH, at least until the complete eruption of first permanent molars to receive full coverage, to decrease the hypersensitivity and to be able to perform proper oral hygiene measures, the purpose of this study was to compare silver modified atraumatic restorative technique (SMART) versus the conventional restoration and fluoride varnish application on moderate to severe hypomineralized molars. The comparison considered the restoration survival, hypersensitivity, and digital surface area changes after one year follow up.
