Parkinson's is a progressive neurodegenerative disease of the nervous system. It has no cure, but its symptoms can be managed by supplying dopamine artificially to the brain. This work aims to engineer tricompartmental polymeric microcarriers by electrohydrodynamic cojetting technique to encapsulate three PD (Parkinson's disease) drugs incorporated with high encapsulation efficiency (∼100%) in a single carrier at a fixed drug ratio of 4:1:8 (Levodopa (LD): Carbidopa(CD): Entacapone (ENT)).

Rheumatoid arthritis is a systemic autoimmune disorder related to joint inflammation, bone erosion, and deformity. Numerous studies indicate that the causes and consequences of RA are still being debated, and therapeutic strategies are in the translation stage. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs continue to be often used to relieve pain.

Aim: The goal of this study is to optimisation and evaluation of dopamine-loaded NLC (NLC-DOPA) for achieve dopamine concentrations into brain for treatment of Parkinson's disease which causes progressive neuronal death.
Method: NLC-DOPA prepared by homogenisation method using solid lipids (Cholesterol and Soya lecithin), liquid lipid (Oleic acid) and surfactant (Poloxamer- 188) as major excipients, optimised by central composite design using design expert-13 software. The optimised formulations were characterised by particle size, zeta potential, entrapment efficiency, SEM, TEM, FTIR, DSC, XRD, stability study and drug release.

Purpose: Fructose is highly lipogenic, and its unhindered ingestion by children and adolescents is understood to induce hypertriglyceridemia and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (ped-NAFLD) that is till date managed symptomatically or surgically. The aim of the present study was to investigate the potential of hydroethanolic extract of leaves of Guava (PG-HM) to suppress the alterations in the hepatic molecular signals due to unrestricted fructose (15%) drinking by growing rats.
Methods: Weaned rats (4 weeks old) in control groups had access to fructose drinking solution (15%) for four (4FDR) or eight (8FDR) weeks, ie, till puberty or early adulthood, respectively, while treatment groups (4PGR, 8PGR) additionally received PG-HM (500 mg/kg, po).

Periimplantitis due to pathogenic bacteria is considered as a major cause for dental implants failures. Biogenic zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnPs) are known to inhibit periimplantitis triggering pathogens. The current investigation intended to perform ZnPs biosynthesis and evaluation against periimplantitis triggering bacteria.

The spectrum of cold injuries ranges from frostnip, chilblains to severe frostbite. Cold injuries occur upon prolonged exposure to freezing temperature and are pathologically a combination of ice crystal formation in the tissue resulting in inflammation, thrombosis and ischemia in the extremities, often necessitating limb amputation in extreme cases due to tissue necrosis. Severe forms of frostbite are a cause of major concern to patients as well as the treating physician.

Background: Isatin (IST) is a crucial pharmacologically active compound, chemically known as indole- 1H-2,3-dione. Development of different IST based analogues acquired significant awareness because of its pronounced therapeutic importance such as analgesic, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antitubercular, antimicrobial, antifungal, antiviral (effective against SARS coronavirus 3C protease) and many other activities, and represents an important class of heterocyclic compounds that can be used as a precursor for the synthesis of many useful drugs.
Objective: Previously, many articles were reported on IST synthesis and its different pharmacological activities but herein, we mentioned 59 different synthesis schemes of several IST derivatives/hybrids derived from the substitution of the nitrogen, aromatic ring, the second and third position of IST along with most potent molecule among each of synthesized libraries with their structural activity relationship (SAR).
Objectives: Mucositis is a common morbidity in patients undergoing bone marrow transplant. Various agents have been used to prevent and treat it with variable success. Here, we assessed the efficacy of supersaturated calcium phosphate rinses in prevention and treatment of oral mucositis in patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplant.

This study was conducted with the aim to compare two batches each of four popular commercial formulations of Bacopa monnieri (Brahmi), and report, if any, inter-batch variations. The formulations were procured from local market and analyzed for label specifications, uniformity of weight of capsule, identity, purity and strength parameters (total ash content test, acid insoluble ash content, water soluble extractive, alcohol soluble extractive, loss on drying). Bacoside A, one of the pharmacologically active saponin present in B.
