Background: The accuracy of current prediction tools for ischaemic and bleeding events after an acute coronary syndrome (ACS) remains insufficient for individualised patient management strategies. We developed a machine learning-based risk stratification model to predict all-cause death, recurrent acute myocardial infarction, and major bleeding after ACS.
Methods: Different machine learning models for the prediction of 1-year post-discharge all-cause death, myocardial infarction, and major bleeding (defined as Bleeding Academic Research Consortium type 3 or 5) were trained on a cohort of 19 826 adult patients with ACS (split into a training cohort [80%] and internal validation cohort [20%]) from the BleeMACS and RENAMI registries, which included patients across several continents.
Unlabelled: According to the World Health Organization, eating disorders are a constantly growing public health problem in industrialized countries with an important stigmatizing impact. The study investigates stigmatizing beliefs and attitudes towards Anorexia nervosa (AN) and Bulimia nervosa (BN).
Materials And Methods: From October 2018 to November 2019, an online survey was conducted for students of the Degree Courses in Nursing of 2 Italian university centres, using the Italian version of the SAB-BN-ITA, adapted for AN.

Background: The role of planned angiographic control (PAC) over a conservative management driven by symptoms and ischaemia following percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) of the unprotected left main (ULM) with second-generation drug-eluting stents remains controversial. PAC may timely detect intrastent restenosis, but it is still unclear if this translated into improved prognosis.
Methods And Analysis: PULSE is a prospective, multicentre, open-label, randomised controlled trial.

Introduction: Oligometastatic disease has emerged as an intermediate state between localized and systemic cancer. Improvements in diagnostic modalities such as functional imaging allow a greater frequency of oligometastases diagnosis. Patients with selected oligometastatic epithelial ovarian carcinoma (EOC) may be treated with metastasis-directed stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) rather than chemotherapy.

Background: Cancer trials involving multiple treatment lines substantially increase our understanding of therapeutic strategies. However, even when the primary end-point of these studies is progression-free survival (PFS), their statistical analysis usually focuses on each line separately, or does not consider repeated events, thus missing potentially relevant information. Consequently, the evaluation of the effectiveness of treatment strategies is highly impaired.

The application of non-targeted serum metabolomics profiling represents a noninvasive tool to identify new clinical biomarkers and to provide early diagnostic differentiation, and insight into the pathological mechanisms underlying hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) progression. In this study, we used proton Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (H-NMR) Spectroscopy and multivariate data analysis to profile the serum metabolome of 64 HCC patients, in early (n = 28) and advanced (n = 36) disease stages. We found that H-NMR metabolomics profiling could discriminate early from advanced HCC patients with a cross-validated accuracy close to 100%.

The introduction of combination of antiretroviral therapy and advancement in care of HIV have dramatically changed the natural history of patients living with HIV. Today, HIV+ patients have a life expectancy not significantly different from HIV uninfected people. However, concerns remain about all the comorbidities associated with aging and the effects of chronic therapies in such high-risk patients.
