Background: Pneumonitis, the specific toxicity associated with PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors, is severe and potentially life-threatening, and its incidence and severity are poorly understood among different tumor types or treatment methods. This meta-analysis was performed to compare the incidence and severity of pneumonitis among different tumor types and treatment regimens.

Methods: MEDLINE and Embase were retrieved until September 2021.

Hypothermia is an important protective strategy against global cerebral ischemia following cardiac arrest. However, the mechanisms of hypothermia underlying the changes in different regions and connections of the brain have not been fully elucidated. This study aims to identify the metabolic nodes and connection integrity of specific brain regions in rats with global cerebral ischemia that are most affected by hypothermia treatment.

Objective: The aim of this study was to explore the association between the expression of a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA), cancer susceptibility candidate 8 (CASC8), and pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD).

Materials And Methods: starBase database was used to perform differential expression, survival, and competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) network and H19/miR-671 correlation analyses for CASC8 in 178 PAAD samples. Using the cBioPortal database website, we analyzed the alteration in CASC8 expression and its correlation with the overall survival in PAAD.

Objective: To explore novel related genes and potential biomarkers of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PanNETs).

Materials And Methods: Two data sets from ICGC and two from the NCBI GEO database were used to identify the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in PanNETs. The common DEGs among the four sources were analyzed; furthermore, the relationship of these gene expression patterns with different PanNET grades, their mutation status and corresponding impact on prognosis, the interaction network, and the relationship with three known PanNET genes (ATRX, DAXX, and MEN1) were analyzed by two other GEO data and cBioPortal database.

Introduction: Pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD) is one of the most fatal cancers in the world for early metastasis, extensive invasion, and poor prognosis with a 5-year survival rate less than 5%. However, the underlying mechanisms are poorly understood. Therefore, it is urgent to explore molecular markers for early diagnosis or therapy target to improve the outcome of PAAD.

Background: Axon growth inhibitory factors NogoA/Nogo receptor (NgR) and its signaling pathways RhoA/Rho kinase (ROCK) play a critical role in the repair of nerve damage in multiple sclerosis (MS). Bu Shen Yi Sui Capsule (BSYSC) is an effective Chinese formula utilized to treat MS in clinical setting and noted for its potent neuroprotective effects. In this study, we focus on the effects of BSYSC on promoting nerve repair and the underlying mechanisms in mice with experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), an animal model of MS.

Purpose: The aqueous enzymatic extract from rice bran (AEERB) was rich in protein, γ-oryzanol and tocols. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of AEERB on the regulation of lipid metabolism and the inhibition of oxidative damage.

Methods: The antioxidant activity of AEERB in vitro was measured in terms of radical scavenging capacity, ferric reducing ability power (FRAP) and linoleic acid emulsion system-ferric thiocyanate method (FTC).

Objective: To observe the ultrastructural changes of sperm flagella in patients with severe idiopathic asthenospermia.

Methods: Using the transmission electron microscope, we examined the ultrastructure of sperm flagella from 22 patients with severe idiopathic asthenospermia.

Results: Ultrastructural anomalies were found in all the 22 patients, 6 with partial or complete absence of internal and external dynamic arms in dedicative of primary ciliary dyskinesia, 1 with hyperplasia, hypertrophy and disordered organization of the fibrous sheath usually referred to as dysplasia of the fibrous sheath, and the other 15 with non-specific flagellar anomalies.
