In such a scenario, lack of histopathological examination makes it difficult to reach the correct diagnosis.

Much can be attributed to the virus' structural protein, S protein, which determines its host range and tissue tropism and aids its rapid spread. This review aims to summarize numerous researches carried out with respect to the complex and resistant structure of SARS-CoV-2 in addition to the researches performed on various antivirals on the basis of drug repurposing, to aid in better understanding for future researches, clinical trials, and treatment protocols.

Congenital ranula cysts are rare, benign cysts that arise from the obstruction or rupture of the sublingual gland ducts in the oral cavity of newborns. Here, we present a case of a congenital ranula cyst in a newborn, highlighting the clinical presentation, diagnosis, and management of this rare condition. The neonate presented with a smooth, painless, and non-tender mass in the floor of the mouth, which was identified as a sublingual cyst via ultrasonography.

Tuberculosis, histoplasmosis, various fungal infections, malignancy, and sarcoidosis are the most common causes of chronic or slowly progressing mediastinitis. Chronic mediastinitis of tubercular origin with subcutaneous emphysema is exceptionally uncommon, and the majority of cases are caused by trauma. Here we report the case of a 35-year-old chronic alcoholic male who presented to the Outpatient Department (OPD) with complaints of cough, chest pain, loss of weight, and intermittent low-grade fever for three months with no significant past medical history or family history for any respiratory diseases.
