Background And Aim: Recently, it has been revealed that most thyroid disorders occur among females and that the factors contributing to this are infertility and sex hormone imbalance. Other research studies showed both genders are equally affected. Therefore, this study aims to estimate the prevalence rate of thyroid disorder among young adults in the rural areas of Wardha district and correlate the results with demographic variables.

Management of Laterally Luxated Primary Teeth: A Case Report.

Lateral luxation can be defined as the traumatic displacement of a tooth in a direction other than axial. The current case report describes the use of composite resin splinting to treat laterally luxated primary maxillary central incisors which resulted in an anterior cross bit. A 5-year-old boy reported to the clinic complaining of pain and mobile front teeth that is his primary right and left central incisors were laterally luxated.

Effect of physiotherapy rehabilitation on osteogenesis imperfecta with a midshaft tibial fracture in the 11-year-old patient: a case report.

Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI), a brittle bone disease is a rare genetic condition characterised by skeletal anomalies that results in higher bone fragility, reduced bone mass, deformity, and other connective-tissue signs in which the body is unable to form healthy bones. This case report presents a case of an 11-year-old male kid who visited our hospital with a complaint of pain and deformity in his left leg. After investigations, he was diagnosed with osteogenesis imperfecta with a midshaft tibial fracture of the left leg.

Methods: During the first pandemic wave, 140 consenting and eligible hospitalized adult participants with mild-moderate symptomatic disease (specific standard RT-PCR assay positive) were selected as per a convenience sample, and randomized (1:1 ratio) to an open-label (assessor blind) two-arm multicentric drug trial; standard of care (SOC as per Indian guidelines) versus AYUSH 64 combined with SOC (AYUSH plus). Participants were assessed daily and discharged once clinical recovery (CR, primary efficacy) was achieved which was based on a predetermined set of criteria (resolution of symptoms, normal peripheral oximetry, and negative specific RT-PCR assay).

Introduction: Though many scoring systems for prognostication of sepsis are available in the intensive care set-up, predisposition, insult, response, and organ dysfunction (PIRO) score helps to assess each patient and evaluate response to therapy. There are few studies comparing the efficacy of PIRO score with other sepsis scores. Hence, our study was planned to compare PIRO score with acute physiology and chronic health evaluation IV (APACHE IV) score and sequential (sepsis-related) organ failure assessment (SOFA) score in predicting the mortality of intensive care patients with sepsis.

Challenges in Anaesthetic Management in a Case of Facial Plexiform Neurofibromatosis Posted for Debulking Surgery.

A patient diagnosed with facial plexiform neurofibromatosis type 1 who is 18 years old and is scheduled for tumour resection and debulking surgery of his face is the subject of this study.
