LncRNA PICART1 suppressed non-small cell lung cancer cells proliferation and invasion by targeting AKT1 signaling pathway.

LncRNAs play significant roles in various cell biological processes. In the present study, we demonstrated that PICART1 expression was down-regulated in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) tissues. Lower expression level of PICART1 was associated with advanced stage.

Clinical significance of Vδ1 T cell detection in sepsis patients.

This study is to investigate changes of the number of PB Vδ1 T cells and their function in patients with sepsis, analyze the clinical significance of Vδ1 T cell detection and validate the effects of Vδ1 T cells on the onset of sepsis. Forty patients with sepsis were included into this study together with forty healthy subjects who received the physical examination in the hospital during the same period, and the clinical data of all subgroups of patients with sepsis were recorded. In the morning, the fasting peripheral venous blood at 10 ml was sampled from patients with sepsis and subjects in the Health Control (HC) group.

Baicaleininhibits VSMCs proliferation via regulating LncRNAAK021954 gene expression.

Atherosclerosis is responsible for the global medical burden of cardiovascular diseases, of which the proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) plays a key role in the development. Recent evidences demonstrated that baicalein could attenuate the proliferation of VSMCs and had no influence on VSMCs migration. However, the precise molecular mechanisms of baicalein inhibiting the proliferation of VSMCs were not clear.

Ectopic expressed long non-coding RNA H19 contributes to malignant cell behavior of ovarian cancer.

Recent studies have highlighted the role of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in carcinogenesis and have suggested that genes of this class might be used as biomarkers in cancer. However, whether lncRNAs are involved in ovarian cancer (OC) remains largely unknown. In the present study, we focused on lncRNAH19 and investigated the expression and functional role of H19 in OC.

Clinical features of acute corpus callosum infarction patients.

The clinical manifestation of acute corpus callosum (CC) infarction is lack of specificity and complex, so it is easily missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis in the early stage. The present study aims to describe the clinical features of the acute CC infarction. In this study, 25 patients with corpus callosum infarction confirmed by the brain MRI/DWI and the risk factors were summarized.
