Appropriateness of exercise therapy delivery in chronic low back pain management: cross-sectional online survey of physiotherapy practice in Germany.

Background: In Germany, exercise therapy represents the most commonly prescribed physiotherapy service for non-specific, chronic low back pain (NSCLBP). So far, little is known about current practice patterns of German physiotherapists in delivering this intervention. Thus, the aim of this study was to investigate the appropriateness of exercise therapy delivered to NSCLBP patients in German physiotherapy care and to identify practitioner-related drivers of appropriate exercise delivery.

7 Tesla magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging predicting IDH status and glioma grading.

Introduction: With the application of high-resolution 3D 7 Tesla Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy Imaging (MRSI) in high-grade gliomas, we previously identified intratumoral metabolic heterogeneities. In this study, we evaluated the potential of 3D 7 T-MRSI for the preoperative noninvasive classification of glioma grade and isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) status. We demonstrated that IDH mutation and glioma grade are detectable by ultra-high field (UHF) MRI.

Proteomic analysis of the urothelial cancer landscape.

Urothelial bladder cancer (UC) has a wide tumor biological spectrum with challenging prognostic stratification and relevant therapy-associated morbidity. Most molecular classifications relate only indirectly to the therapeutically relevant protein level. We improve the pre-analytics of clinical samples for proteome analyses and characterize a cohort of 434 samples with 242 tumors and 192 paired normal mucosae covering the full range of UC.

Background: Systemic autoinflammatory disorders (SAIDs) represent a growing spectrum of diseases characterized by dysregulation of the innate immune system. The most common pediatric autoinflammatory fever syndrome, Periodic Fever, Aphthous Stomatitis, Pharyngitis, Adenitis (PFAPA), has well defined clinical diagnostic criteria, but there is a subset of patients who do not meet these criteria and are classified as undefined autoinflammatory diseases (uAID). This project, endorsed by PRES, supported by the EMERGE fellowship program, aimed to analyze the evolution of symptoms in recurrent fevers without molecular diagnosis in the context of undifferentiated AIDs, focusing on PFAPA and syndrome of undifferentiated recurrent fever (SURF), using data from European AID registries.

The relationship between the force applied and perceived by the surgeon during ureteral access sheath placement: ex-vivo experimental model.

Purpose: To define a peak force of insertion (PFOI) threshold for ureteral damage during ureteral access sheath (UAS) placement on an experimental ureteral orifice model.

Methods: A specially designed water tank using 2 laparoscopic 5 mm ports and 2 different size (10 Fr and 8 Fr) sealing cap adaptors (SCA) as ureteral orifices was used to perform the test. A 10-12 Fr UAS was fixed to a load cell and the force of insertion (FOI) was continuously recorded with a digital force gauge.

One hundred years ago, an influenza pandemic swept across the globe that coincided with the development of a neurological condition, named "encephalitis lethargica" for the occurrence of its main symptom, the sudden onset of sleepiness that either developed into coma or gradually receded. Between 1917 and 1920, mortality of the flu was >20 million and of encephalitis lethargica approximately 1 million. For lessons to be learned from this pandemic, it makes sense to compare it with the COVID-19 pandemic, which occurred 100 years later.

A total of 37 patients who received anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) were included in this retrospective study. Two groups were analyzed at a single follow-up of 10 years: (i) "isolated (ACLR)" ( = 20) and (ii) "ACLR with medial meniscal injury" ( = 17).

Pilot study: A simple CAD-based tool to detect breast cancer on MRI of the breast.

Purpose: This pilot-study aims to assess, whether quantitatively assessed enhancing breast tissue as a percentage of the entire breast volume can serve as an indicator of breast cancer at breast MRI and whether the contrast-agent employed affects diagnostic efficacy.

Materials: This retrospective IRB-approved study, included 39 consecutive patients, that underwent two subsequent breast MRI exams for suspicious findings at conventional imaging with 0.1 mmol/kg gadobenic and gadoteric acid.

Quantifying Residual Rivaroxaban Plasma Concentration after Antagonization with Andexanet Alfa: A Difficult Task in Routine Clinical Practice.

We describe the case of a 38-year-old man with a history of chronic portal vein thrombosis who presented with abdominal pain after a transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt procedure. Under anticoagulation therapy with rivaroxaban, he experienced active splenic bleeding, leading to hemodynamic instability. Emergency interventions, including andexanet alfa and nanoparticle administration, successfully stopped the bleeding.

The learning curve for robotic-assisted transperineal MRI/US fusion-guided prostate biopsy.

Transperineal fusion prostate biopsy has a considerable learning curve (LC). Robotic-assisted transperineal MRI/Ultrasound fusion-guided biopsy (RA-TP-FBx) may have an easier LC due to automatization. We aimed to assess the LC of RA-TP-FBx and analyze its most difficult steps.

3D volume growth rate evaluation in the EORTC-BTG-1320 clinical trial for recurrent WHO grade 2 and 3 meningiomas.

Background: We previously reported that tumor 3D volume growth rate (3DVGR) classification could help in the assessment of drug activity in patients with meningioma using 3 main classes and a total of 5 subclasses: class 1: decrease; 2: stabilization or severe slowdown; 3: progression. The EORTC-BTG-1320 clinical trial was a randomized phase II trial evaluating the efficacy of trabectedin for recurrent WHO 2 or 3 meningioma. Our objective was to evaluate the discriminative value of 3DVGR classification in the EORTC-BTG-1320.
