To prepare peptide-modified chitosan tetramethylprazine nanoparticles(FGF-CS-TMP-NPS) and investigate its reversal effect on multidrug resistance in tumor cells. The pEGF-CS-TMP-NPs were prepared by ion crosslinking method, and their physicochemical properties were investigated. Western blot was used to detect the expression levels of epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)(MCF-7, MCF-7/ADR, K562 and K562/ADR) and drug-resistant related protein P-gp.

Clinical implications of β-catenin protein expression in breast cancer.

The objective of this study was to examine the expression and significance of β-catenin in the diagnosis and prognosis of breast cancer. Overall, 241 patients with histologically confirmed breast cancer who had undergone radical surgery were enrolled in this study. β-catenin protein expression in breast cancer samples was evaluated by immunohistochemistry.

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) surface antigen (HBsAg) to anti-HBsAg (anti-HBs) seroconversion is the best and final objective of all available chronic hepatitis B (CHB) therapies. Unfortunately, this goal is not commonly obtained with current therapeutic approaches. Here, we reported a case that a Chinese CHB patient successfully achieved HBsAg seroconversion under extended individualized therapeutic schedule.

ALX1 promotes migration and invasion of lung cancer cells through increasing snail expression.

Lung cancer is one of the main causes in cancer-related death. Here we reported a novel functional role of Aristaless-like homeobox1 (ALX1) in lung carcinogenesis. Analysis of ALX1 in lung cancer specimens confirms upregulation of ALX1 in lung cancer, especially these with distant metastasis.

[Correlation analysis of EphA7 expression with clinico-pathological parameters and prognosis in tongue squamous cell carcinoma].

Purpose: To evaluate the relationship between the expression of EphA7 and its clinical correlation and function with tongue squamous cell carcinoma (TSCC).

Methods: The expression of EphA7 was determined in 54 pairs of human TSCC tissues and pair-matched adjacent noncancerous tissues by immunohistochemistry. Furthermore, association between EphA7 expression and patients' clinicopathological characteristics, overall and disease-free survival were evaluated.
