To prepare peptide-modified chitosan tetramethylprazine nanoparticles(FGF-CS-TMP-NPS) and investigate its reversal effect on multidrug resistance in tumor cells. The pEGF-CS-TMP-NPs were prepared by ion crosslinking method, and their physicochemical properties were investigated. Western blot was used to detect the expression levels of epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)(MCF-7, MCF-7/ADR, K562 and K562/ADR) and drug-resistant related protein P-gp.

Increasing evidences demonstrate that miRNAs play an important role in development and progression of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Recent studies indicate that miR-3196 regulates tumorigenesis in breast and lung cancer. However, its role and regulatory mechanism remains unknown in hepatocellular carcinoma.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small regulatory non-coding RNAs that have been reported to play an important role in a variety of cellular functions. Recent studies indicated that some miRNAs are involved in regulating endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress adaptation. However, the miRNAs were still unknown in osteosarcoma.

However, the mechanism of SalA in treating alcoholic liver disease (ALD) remains unclear. Here, we studied the protective effects of SalA on chronic ethanol-induced liver injury involving Sirtuin 1 (SIRT1)-mediated autophagy activation.

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) surface antigen (HBsAg) to anti-HBsAg (anti-HBs) seroconversion is the best and final objective of all available chronic hepatitis B (CHB) therapies. Unfortunately, this goal is not commonly obtained with current therapeutic approaches. Here, we reported a case that a Chinese CHB patient successfully achieved HBsAg seroconversion under extended individualized therapeutic schedule.

Lung cancer is one of the main causes in cancer-related death. Here we reported a novel functional role of Aristaless-like homeobox1 (ALX1) in lung carcinogenesis. Analysis of ALX1 in lung cancer specimens confirms upregulation of ALX1 in lung cancer, especially these with distant metastasis.

Purpose: To evaluate the relationship between the expression of EphA7 and its clinical correlation and function with tongue squamous cell carcinoma (TSCC).
Methods: The expression of EphA7 was determined in 54 pairs of human TSCC tissues and pair-matched adjacent noncancerous tissues by immunohistochemistry. Furthermore, association between EphA7 expression and patients' clinicopathological characteristics, overall and disease-free survival were evaluated.
