Robotic systems rely on spatio-temporal information to solve control tasks. With advancements in deep neural networks, reinforcement learning has significantly enhanced the performance of control tasks by leveraging deep learning techniques. However, as deep neural networks grow in complexity, they consume more energy and introduce greater latency.

The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the relationship between high school students' willingness to participate in a school rope jumping club, their satisfaction with participation, and their satisfaction with school life. To this end, data were collected from 411 male and female high school students participating in a school rope jumping club in Incheon, and the following results were derived through factor analysis, frequency analysis, -test, one-way analysis of variance, and multiple regression analysis. First, male students showed higher scores than female students in all participation willingness factors.

This experiment studied the effect of arginine intake on blood pressure and blood variables during weight training in 20 men in their 20s. The resistance exercise program was performed 3 times a week at 60% of one repetition maximum for 8 weeks. The arginine intake group consumed 1,000 mg of arginine 2 tablets per day before weight training for 8 weeks.

Biodegradable (BP) poly(D,L-lactic acid) (PDLLA) membranes are widely used in tissue engineering. Here, we investigate the effects of varying concentrations of PDLLA/gelatin membranes electrospun in 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro-2-propanol (HFIP; CHFO) solvent on their mechanical and physical properties as well as their biocompatibility. Regardless of the environmental conditions, increasing the gelatin content resulted in elevated stress and reduced strain at membrane failure.

Background: Poly(L-lactic acid) (PLLA) is a biodegradable polymer (BP) that replaces conventional petroleum-based polymers. The hydrophobicity of biodegradable PLLA periodontal barrier membrane in wet state can be solved by alloying it with natural polymers. Alloying PLLA with gelatin imparts wet mechanical properties, hydrophilicity, shrinkage, degradability and biocompatibility to the polymeric matrix.

Poly(L-lactic acid) (PLLA) and PLLA/gelatin polymers were prepared via electrospinning to evaluate the effect of PLLA and gelatin content on the mechanical properties, water uptake capacity (WUC), water contact angle (WCA), degradation rate, cytotoxicity and cell proliferation of membranes. As the PLLA concentration increased from 1 wt% to 3 wt%, the tensile strength increased from 5.8 MPa to 9.

Introduction: Healthcare for the aging population has become a crucial issue in South Korea to maintain the elderly's quality of life, and physical activity is of primary importance for older adults. This study evaluated the exercise characteristics and satisfaction of the elderly who participated in physical activity programs provided by senior welfare centers in South Korea.
Methods: We surveyed 266 participants to learn the characteristics of the elderly's exercise participation and their satisfaction with instructors, exercise programs, and facilities provided by senior welfare centers.

In this study, the optimal features of electrocardiogram (ECG) signals were investigated for the implementation of a personal authentication system using a reinforcement learning (RL) algorithm. ECG signals were recorded from 11 subjects for 6 days. Consecutive 5-day datasets (from the 1st to the 5th day) were trained, and the 6th dataset was tested.

Infection is one of several factors that can delay normal wound healing. Antibacterial wound dressings can therefore promote normal wound healing. In this study, we prepared an antibacterial wound dressing, consisting of visible light-cured methacrylated collagen (ColMA) hydrogel and a 2-hydroxypropyl-beta-cyclodextrin (HP-β-CD)/triclosan (TCS) complex (CD-ic-TCS), and evaluated its wound healing effects in vivo.

Nifedipine (NF)-loaded poly(lactic acid) (PLA) and PLA/polyethylene glycol (PLA/PEG) microcapsules are synthesized using a high-speed agitator and a syringe pump with an oil-in-water emulsion-solvent evaporation technique to evaluate the effect of PLA/PEG ratio on morphology and drug release behavior of the capsules. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) results indicate that PEG reacts successfully with PLA due to the ether bond between PEG and PLA. The drug release rate of PLA and PLA/PEG capsules increases dramatically from 0 to 5 min and then reaches a plateau within 15 to 20 min.

White blood cells (WBCs) are essential components of the immune system in the human body. Various invasive and noninvasive methods to monitor the condition of the WBCs have been developed. Among them, a noninvasive method exploits an optical characteristic of WBCs in a nailfold capillary image, as they appear as visual gaps.

Thermodynamically immiscible poly(lactic acid) (PLA) and poly(-caprolactone) (PCL) were blended and solution-cast by adding the 3% compatibilizer (tributyl citrate, TBC) of the PCL weight. In the PLA/PCL composition range of 99/1-95/5 wt%, mechanical properties of the PLA/PCL films with TBC were always superior to those of the films without TBC. The tensile strength of 42.

Background: Hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal biphasic fillers are synthesized for their efficacy in correcting aesthetic defects such as wrinkles, scars and facial contouring defects. The fillers consist of crosslinked HA microspheres suspended in a noncrosslinked HA. To extend the duration of HAs within the dermis and obtain the particle texturing feel, HAs are crosslinked to obtain the suitable mechanical properties.

Although complex fractionated electrogram (CFE) is known to be a target for catheter ablation of fibrillation, its physiological meaning in fibrillation wave-dynamics remains to be clarified. We evaluated the spatiotemporal relationships among the parameters of fibrillation wave-dynamics by simulation modeling. We generated maps of CFE-cycle length (CFE-CL), local dominant frequency (LDF), wave break (WB), and phase singularity (PS) of fibrillation in 2-dimensional homogeneous bidomain cardiac modeling (1,000 × 1,000 cells ten Tusscher model).
