Tyrosine kinase inhibitors have been employed for the treatment of lung cancer, owing to their role in regulating irregulated pathways or mutated genes. Bosutinib, a nonreceptor tyrosine kinase, has been recently investigated for lung cancer treatment. Bosutinib can also be used with paclitaxel as a combinatorial approach to receive a synergistic effect for the effective management of lung cancer.

The emergence of self-propelling magnetic nanobots represents a significant advancement in the field of drug delivery. These magneto-nanobots offer precise control over drug targeting and possess the capability to navigate deep into tumor tissues, thereby addressing multiple challenges associated with conventional cancer therapies. Here, Fe-GSH-Protein-Dox, a novel self-propelling magnetic nanobot conjugated with a biocompatible protein surface and loaded with doxorubicin for the treatment of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), is reported.

Phytochemicals, naturally occurring compounds in plants, possess a wide range of therapeutic properties, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, and antimicrobial activities. However, their clinical application is often hindered by poor water solubility, low bioavailability, rapid metabolism, and instability under physiological conditions. Polymer lipid hybrid nanoparticles (PLHNPs) have emerged as a novel delivery system that combines the advantages of both polymeric and lipid-based nanoparticles to overcome these challenges.

Present work aims to prepare Soluplus stabilized, phospholipid-modified, and cetuximab-conjugated paclitaxel nanocrystals (NCs) as stable nanocarriers for targeted drug delivery. The NCs, prepared using concurrent antisolvent precipitation cum cold crystallization method followed by probe sonication, were found to be monodispersed particles with sub-200 nm size. The microscopic analysis uncovered rod and spherical anisotropy for Soluplus stabilized (PTX-NCs) and phospholipid modified (Lipid/PTX-NCs) nanocrystals, respectively.

The Oropouche virus (OROV), a member of the Orthobunyavirus genus, poses a significant public health challenge due to its potential for vertical transmission and lack of approved vaccines or antiviral treatments. Recent outbreaks have highlighted the association of OROV infection in pregnant women with severe outcomes, including spontaneous abortions, congenital anomalies, and fetal deaths. This letter to the editor emphasizes the need for a multifaceted approach to address the potential for vertical transmission of OROV, including the use of small animal models, detailed pathological studies, and robust preventive measures.

Background: It is a well-recognized fact that abnormal cell proliferation plays a crucial role in the development of odontogenic lesions. p53 is a tumour-suppressor gene which assists in cell cycle regulation and p63 is a homolog of p53 responsible for ectodermal differentiation and maintenance of stratified epithelial progenitor-cell. Analysing the tissue expression of p53 and p63 in odontogenic lesions may provide us with an insight into their potential role in the development of these lesions.

The most common route for drug administration is the oral route due to the various advantages offered by this route, such as ease of administration, controlled and sustained drug delivery, convenience, and non-invasiveness. In spite of this, oral drug absorption faces challenges due to various issues related to its stability, permeability and solubility in the GI tract. Biologic drugs generally face problems when administered by oral route as they are readily degradable and thus required to be injected.
