The Effect of Nurses' Professional Values on Missed Nursing Care: The Mediating Role of Moral Sensitivity.

The aim of this study is to determine the mediating role of moral sensitivity in the effect of nurses' professional values on missed nursing care. A descriptive and correlational study was conducted with 640 nurses working in the inpatient units of a public and a private hospital with the MISSCARE Survey-Turkish, the Moral Sensitivity Questionnaire, and the Revised Nursing Professional Values Scale. Data analyses were performed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences 26.

Advancing surgical education: An evaluation of laparoscopic simulation training for medical students.

Objective: To examine the medical students' awareness of laparoscopic surgery as well as assess the perceived importance of laparoscopic simulation training, and its impact on students' confidence, career aspirations, proficiency, spatial skills, and physical tolerance.

However, its editing efficiency remains low in plants. In this study, we rationally engineered both the crRNA and the Cas12j-8 nuclease.

Controlled Inflammation Drives Neutrophil-Mediated Precision Drug Delivery in Heterogeneous Tumors.

Tumor heterogeneity remains a formidable obstacle in targeted cancer therapy, often leading to suboptimal treatment outcomes. This study presents an innovative approach that harnesses controlled inflammation to guide neutrophil-mediated drug delivery, effectively overcoming the limitations imposed by tumor heterogeneity. By inducing localized inflammation within tumors using lipopolysaccharide, it significantly amplify the recruitment of drug-laden neutrophils to tumor sites, irrespective of specific tumor markers.

Naringenin Inhibits Ferroptosis in Renal Tubular Epithelial Cells of Diabetic Nephropathy Through SIRT1/FOXO3a Signaling Pathway.

Naringenin has the potential to regulate ferroptosis and mitigate renal damage in diabetic nephropathy (DN). However, it remains unclear whether the naringenin's effects in DN are linked to its ability to regulate ferroptosis. This study investigated the potential anti-ferroptosis properties of naringenin in high glucose (HG)-induced renal tubular epithelial cell models.

A novel MRI-based radiomics for preoperative prediction of lymphovascular invasion in rectal cancer.

Background: To develop and validate a clinical-radiomics model for preoperative prediction of lymphovascular invasion (LVI) in rectal cancer.

Methods: This retrospective study included data from 239 patients with pathologically confirmed rectal adenocarcinoma from two centers, all of whom underwent MRI examinations. Cases from the first center (n = 189) were randomly divided into a training set and an internal validation set at a 7:3 ratio, while cases from the second center (n = 50) constituted the external validation set.

Prevalence of chronic kidney disease and anemia in Hirakud Command Area, Odisha, India: unveiling the role of environmental toxicants.

Background: The present community-based study assessed the prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD)/chronic kidney disease of unknown origin (CKDu) as well as anemia in some intense agricultural zones under Hirakud Command Area and evaluated their association with pesticides and heavy metal exposure.

Methods: Random cluster sampling method was used to assess the prevalence of CKD and anemia. Hematological analysis was carried out using autoanalyzer.

Determination of optimal sedation depth in sleep endoscopy with bispectrometry and simultaneous polysomnography.

Objective: In this study, we aimed to evaluate the localization and configuration of vibration and obstruction in drug-induced sleep endoscopy(DISE) in obstructive sleep apnea patients and to investigate the optimal sedation depth.

Materials And Methods: The study was conducted prospectively with 42 patients. After achieving sedation with intravenous anesthetic agents, simultaneous monitoring of the patient's bispectrometry (BIS), DISE and sleep testing with a type 2 polysomnography device were performed.

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are noncoding RNAs that can be used as diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets for human diseases. In this study, we analysed the expression of hsa_circ_0008925 in human urinary renal tubular cells and investigated its role in renal fibrosis.

To explore the effect of lithium carbonate combined with olanzapine on glucose and lipid metabolism, as well as gender differences in treating bipolar disorder (BD). 110 BD patients admitted to the Fifth People's Hospital of Luoyang from February 2022 to January 2024 were retrospectively included in the study. Patients were categorized into two groups based on treatment: The single group (lithium carbonate, n = 50) and the coalition group (lithium carbonate + olanzapine, n=60).

In this study, we performed a genetic screen to identify suppressors of the root growth defect in Osaim1, a rice mutant deficient in basal SA biosynthesis.

Objective: The objective was to assess the prevalence of psychotic-spectrum disorders with and without depression and anxiety preceding a PD diagnosis.

Methods: In this retrospective, case-control study of adults > 60 years of age, cases were identified by PD diagnosis and controls were identified in a 3:1 ratio by ambulatory encounter from 2015 to 2020.

Chiari Malformation Type I and Syringomyelia: Outcomes of Arachnoid-Preserving Surgical Technique.

BACKGROUND Chiari malformation type 1 occurs when the cerebellar tonsils are pushed into the spinal canal, which can result in syringomyelia. This retrospective study from a single center evaluated outcomes in 89 patients with Chiari malformation type-I (CM-I) and syringomyelia treated with an arachnoid-preserving technique between 2016 and 2023. MATERIAL AND METHODS A retrospective analysis was conducted at a tertiary referral center, involving 88 adult patients and 1 adolescent patient aged 14 to 61 years, with diagnosis by MRI and treated for CM-I with syringomyelia between 2016 and 2023, using the arachnoid-preserving technique.

Klaus met Mary Main at Mary Ainsworth's lab in 1973 in Baltimore. Mary Main's and our own longitudinal studies both started at the same time in which attachment research became a focus of several research groups.

Background: In clinical practice, creative arts therapy is frequently utilized for the treatment of traumatized adults, with reports of favorable outcomes. However, the effectiveness of this intervention in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) treatment has not yet been definitively established through meta-analysis. In this meta-analysis, we aim to assess the effectiveness of creative arts therapy in the management of PTSD.

Addressing evidence needs during health crises in the province of Quebec (Canada): a proposed action plan for rapid evidence synthesis.

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic necessitated the rapid availability of evidence to respond in a timely manner to the needs of practice settings and decision-makers in health and social services. Now that the pandemic is over, it is time to put in place actions to improve the capacity of systems to meet knowledge needs in a situation of crisis. The main objective of this project was thus to develop an action plan for the rapid syntheses of evidence in times of health crisis in Quebec (Canada).
