Purpose: The clinical relevance of human leukocyte antigen (HLA) subtypes such as HLA-B51 on Behçet's disease (BD)-related uveitis and non-infectious uveitis (NIU) unrelated to BD remains largely unknown.
Methods: Data were prospectively collected from the International AIDA Network Registry for BD and for NIU. We assessed differences between groups (NIU unrelated to BD and positive for HLA-B51, BD-related uveitis positive for HLA-B51 and BD-related uveitis negative for HLA-B51) in terms of long-term ocular complications, visual acuity (VA) measured by best corrected visual acuity (BCVA), anatomical pattern, occurrence of retinal vasculitis (RV) and macular edema over time.

Introduction: This paper describes the creation and preliminary results of a patient-driven registry for the collection of patient-reported outcomes (PROs) and patient-reported experiences (PREs) in Behçet's disease (BD).
Methods: The project was coordinated by the University of Siena and the Italian patient advocacy organization SIMBA (Associazione Italiana Sindrome e Malattia di Behçet), in the context of the AIDA (AutoInflammatory Diseases Alliance) Network programme. Quality of life, fatigue, socioeconomic impact of the disease and therapeutic adherence were selected as core domains to include in the registry.

This study aims to describe musculoskeletal manifestations (MSM) in children with Behçet's syndrome (BS), their association with other disease manifestations, response to therapy, and long-term prognosis. Data were retrieved from the AIDA Network Behçet's Syndrome Registry. Out of a total of 141 patients with juvenile BS, 37 had MSM at disease onset (26.

Background: The purpose of this study is to determine women's perceptions of the vulva with the criteria defined in the literature for the ideal vulva and determine their relationship with anatomical measurements to determine the extent to which women's perceptions of normal align with our aesthetic standards of normality.
Methods: First of all, a questionnaire was given to all participants. The items of the data collection form included personal information, obstetric and gynecological information, their perceptions of their external genitalia and any physical, sexual, psychological, and hygiene problems they experience.

Purpose of the present paper is to point out the design, development and deployment of the AutoInflammatory Disease Alliance (AIDA) International Registry dedicated to pediatric and adult patients with Behçet's disease (BD). The Registry is a clinical physician-driven non-population- and electronic-based instrument implemented for the retrospective and prospective collection of real-life data about demographics, clinical, therapeutic, laboratory, instrumental and socioeconomic information from BD patients; the Registry is based on the Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) tool, which is thought to collect standardised information for clinical real-life research, and has been realised to change over time according to future scientific acquisitions and potentially communicate with other existing and future Registries dedicated to BD. Starting from January 31st, 2021, to February 7th, 2022, 110 centres from 23 countries in 4 continents have been involved.

Breast reduction surgery is a common procedure in plastic surgery clinics, and there are varying practices regarding preoperative mammography and breast ultrasound in patients who have no history of cancer and no symptoms other than those caused by macromastia. In this study, we retrospectively analyzed the imaging findings of patients who presented to the plastic surgery outpatient clinic due to macromastia between January 1, 2006 and June 1, 2020 and underwent mammography and/or breast ultrasound for preoperative screening and breast magnetic resonance imaging for further examination. Patients with a history of breast cancer diagnosed prior to preoperative screening or any other breast disease were excluded.

Purpose: The skin tumors can occur on any part of the body, these anatomical subunits are considered prognostic factors for localized carcinomas. Tumor size is a prognostic criterion that also varies according to the anatomical location of these tumors. Head and neck region is the most common location.

Objectives: This study aims to investigate the effects of Janus kinase/signal transducers and activators of the transcription (JAK/STAT) pathway inhibition on collagen biosynthesis in fibroblast cell culture by tofacitinib.
Materials And Methods: BJ-CRL-1474® (skin) and BRL3A® (hepatic) fibroblast cell cultures were proliferated in a suitable medium. Tofacitinib was administered to fibroblast cells proliferating in 96-well flasks at concentrations of 25, 50, 100, 200, 400, and 800 nM.

Purpose: Patients on maintenance hemodialysis are vulnerable to viral infections like COVID-19 because of the low chance of obedience and complying with rules besides the need for transfer to distant dialysis facilities. We investigated the impact and clinical effect of treatment of COVID-19 in dialysis patients.
Methods: We included patients on maintenance hemodialysis at different healthcare facilities in Zonguldak city.

It is a known fact that individuals who engaged in delinquent behavior in childhood are more probable to carry on similar behavior in adulthood. If the factors that lead children to involve in delinquency are defined, the risk of dragging children into crime can be detected before they are involved in crime and delinquency can be prevented with appropriate preventive rehabilitation programs, in the early period. However, given that delinquent behavior occurs under the influence of multiple conditions and factors rather than a single risk factor; the need for diagnostic tools to evaluate multiple factors together is obvious.

Background: Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) is a tick-borne viral disease with a high mortality rate. Although CCHF has been widely investigated over the past decade, a review of the literature indicated no data on the prognostic capacity of the mean platelet volume-to-platelet count ratio (MPVPCR) and the red cell distribution width-to-platelet count ratio (RDWPCR) for the systemic inflammatory response in patients with CCHF. This study aimed to evaluate the prognostic ability of MPVPCR and RDWPCR on mortality in patients with CCHF.

Isolated tubal torsions presenting to the emergency department are a very rare cause of pediatric acute abdominal pain. Since making the diagnosis early is of importance in terms of affecting tubal damage and fertility, we aimed to evaluate cases of isolated tubal torsions in light of the literature. This study included 10 patients under 18 years of age who presented to the emergency department with abdominal pain between January 2003 and December 2018.

Parotid masses coincided with skin tumors in head and neck region may represent a serious diagnostic challenge. Conventional imaging modalities such as computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging may help to determine nature of the masses. Positron emission tomography - computed tomography imaging is reported to be useful for the detection of malignancy in the parotid gland.

Aims: To assess the tolerability of initiating/uptitrating sacubitril/valsartan (LCZ696) from 50 to 200 mg twice daily (target dose) over 3 and 6 weeks in heart failure (HF) patients (ejection fraction ≤35%).
Methods And Results: A 5-day open-label run-in (sacubitril/valsartan 50 mg twice daily) preceded an 11-week, double-blind, randomization period [100 mg twice daily for 2 weeks followed by 200 mg twice daily ('condensed' regimen) vs. 50 mg twice daily for 2 weeks, 100 mg twice daily for 3 weeks, followed by 200 mg twice daily ('conservative' regimen)].
