Background Corticosteroids, specifically dexamethasone (DEX), have been extensively utilized for the prevention of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV). However, their usage is associated with a range of adverse events. In contrast, the combination of Netupitant Plus Palonosetron (NEPA) with a single dose of DEX provides comparable efficacy in preventing CINV over a five-day period following chemotherapy administration.

An inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (IMT) is a very rare tumor of mesenchymal origin with unclear etiopathogenesis, no unique diagnostic features, and no specific management protocol. It is often confused with inflammatory pseudotumor in literature, and the distinction needs further study. The average size, recurrence risk, and metastatic potential differ as per the site of origin.

Post-prostatectomy Urinary incontinence (PPUI) due to open or robotic surgery has a negative impact on patients' psycho-social well-being and leads to altered quality of life (Kielb and Dunn in J Urol 166:958-61, 2001). Sphincteric incompetence overall remains the primary cause of PPUI, and it is believed that direct damage and manipulation intraoperatively could be the probable causes [1] (Bayoud et al. in Int J Urol 22:283-7-10, 2015).

Objectives: Patients needing palliative care prefer to be cared for in the comfort of their homes. Although private home health-care services are entering the health-care ecosystem in India, for the majority it is still institution-based. Here, we describe a model of home-based palliative care developed by the Tata Memorial Hospital, a government tertiary care cancer hospital.

We aimed to report a comprehensive outcome analysis of robot-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomies (RALP) performed by a single surgeon and compared it to retropubic radical prostatectomies (RRP) done by the same surgeon in a high-volume center. Preoperative, perioperative, and postoperative data were collected prospectively and compared with retrospective retropubic radical prostatectomy data. Perioperative, oncological data, and functional results in the first year were compared between the two groups.

Chimeric antigen receptors against CD19 (anti-CD19-CAR) are widely recognized and used by not only researchers associated with immunology, molecular biology, and cell biology but also physicians to treat B-cell malignancies. Anti-CD19-CAR is currently clinically available as one of the therapeutic modalities for refractory acute B-cell-typed lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) patients. However, to detect CAR on the cell surface and investigate the efficacy of CAR-T cells, there are numerous experimental modalities including flow cytometry, the Cr-releasing assay, immunoblot, and immunostaining.

Coronary artery disease (CAD) is a multifactorial disease whose prevalence remains unabated especially in developing countries. Both lifestyle factors and genetic predisposition contribute to this disorder. Though notable achievements have been made in the medical, interventional and surgical management of CAD, the need for its prevention is more important.

A 64 years old male diabetic patient with ejection fraction of 16% and renal dysfunction underwent off-pump CABG using both in situ internal mammary artery grafts. Left internal mammary artery was used to bypass left anterior descending artery and right internal mammary artery was used as composite graft. Patient had uneventful recovery and left ventricular ejection fraction improved to 34% within 8 months after surgery.

Patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) is common congenital heart disease which may require treatment as transcatheter percutaneous device closure (PDA device closure) or surgical ligation in symptomatic full-term patients. Surgical ligation is an invasive procedure and has more complications especially in the neonates. Problems in PDA device closure are difficult vascular access, manipulation of catheters and sheath, residual shunts, residual obstruction of major arteries etc and these complications increase in low birth weight babies, but it is a less invasive procedure and has fewer complications than surgery, so should be tried in low birth weight patients also.

For several decades, coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) has been considered as the gold standard treatment of unprotected left main coronary artery (LMCA) disease. The marked improvement in technique and technology makes percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs) feasible for patients with unprotected LMCA stenosis. The recent introduction of drug-eluting stents (DESs), together with advances in periprocedural and postprocedural adjunctive pharmacotherapies, has improved outcomes of PCIs of these lesions.

South Asian Indians have a high prevalence of CAD, especially premature CAD. We examined the association of telomere length with CAD in Indian subjects.
