Background: Cardiac substructures are critical organs at risk in left-sided breast cancer radiotherapy being often overlooked during treatment planning. The treatment technique plays an important role in diminishing dose to critical structures. This review aims to analyze the impact of treatment- and patient-related factors on heart substructure dosimetry and to identify the gaps in literature regarding dosimetric reporting of cardiac substructures.

Aims: Patients with endometrial cancer who progress following first line therapy have improved survival outcomes with pembrolizumab and lenvatinib (pem/len) compared with standard of care chemotherapy, as demonstrated in KEYNOTE-775. This was in a group of trial patients with good performance status and excluded those with carcinosarcoma histology. In KEYNOTE-775 pem/len was associated with significant toxicity, leading to dose reductions, treatment cessation, and patient morbidity.

Objectives: Approximately 10% of patients with syncope have serious or life-threatening causes that may not be apparent during the initial emergency department (ED) assessment. Consequently, researchers have developed clinical decision rules (CDRs) to predict adverse outcomes and risk stratify ED syncope patients. This systematic review and meta-analysis (SRMA) aims to cohere and synthesize the best current evidence regarding the methodological quality and predictive accuracy of CDRs for developing an evidence-based ED syncope management guideline.

Schwannomas are benign tumours derived from Schwann cells of the peripheral nerve sheaths. A schwannoma arising in the external auditory canal (EAC) is rare, with few cases reported in the literature. These tumours present a unique challenge and should be considered when patients present with persistent ear symptoms in the absence of common otological pathology.

Fracture-dislocations of the proximal humerus with brachial plexus injury are exceedingly rare, and although infrequently encountered, it is important to recognize this complication due to its potentially devastating impact. We present the case of a 75-year-old female who sustained the described injury following a fall onto their left arm, demonstrating combined sensory and motor deficits in the radial, median, and ulnar distribution of the left forearm and hand shortly afterward. Immediate management involved closed reduction under anesthesia, resulting in the improvement of neurological symptoms.
