We investigated the influence of a Wnt5A-gut microbiota axis on gut B-cell repertoire and protection from infection, having previously demonstrated that Wnt5A in association with gut commensals helps shape gut T-cell repertoire. Accordingly, Wnt5A heterozygous mice, which express less than wild-type level of Wnt5A, and their isolated Peyer's patches (PPs) were studied in comparison with the wild-type counterparts. The percentages of IgM- and IgA-expressing B cells were quite similar in the PP of both sets of mice.

Temozolomide (TMZ) is the most preferred and approved chemotherapeutic drug for either first- or second-line chemotherapy for glioma patients across the globe. In glioma patients, resistance to treatment with alkylating drugs like TMZ is known to be conferred by exalted levels of MGMT gene expression. On the contrary, epigenetic silencing through MGMT gene promoter methylation leading to subsequent reduction in MGMT transcription and protein expression, is predicted to have a response favoring TMZ treatment.

Monoubiquitylation is a principal mechanism driving nuclear translocation of the protein PTEN (phosphatase and tensin homolog deleted on chromosome ten). In this study, we describe a novel mechanism wherein the protein CHIP (C-terminus of Hsc70-interacting protein) mediates PTEN monoubiquitylation, leading to its nuclear import. Western blot analysis revealed a rise in both nuclear and total cellular PTEN levels under monoubiquitylation-promoting conditions, an effect that was abrogated by silencing CHIP expression.

Wound dressing with poor antibacterial properties, the tendency to adhere to the wound site, poor mechanical strength, and lack of porosity and flexibility are the major cause of blood loss, delayed wound repair, and sometimes causes death during the trauma or injury.
