Introduction: Third-generation therapies (TGTs) have been shown to be effective in the treatment of substance use behaviors in college-aged adolescents. These therapies are based on acceptance, mindfulness and psychological flexibility, which enable young people to change their Psychoactive Substance Use (PSU)-related behaviours, develop coping skills to manage difficult emotions and thoughts, reduce experiential avoidance and maintain long-term abstinence.

Thermodynamic Assessment of the Pyrazinamide Dissolution Process in Some Organic Solvents.

Pyrazinamide is a first line drug used for the treatment of tuberculosis, a pathology that caused the death of more than 1.3 million people in the world during 2022, according to WHO, being a drug of current interest due to its relevance in pharmaceutical and medical sciences. In this context, solubility is one of the most important physicochemical parameters in the development and/or optimization of new pharmaceutical forms, so the present work aims to present a thermodynamic study of the solubility of pyrazinamide in nine organic solvents of pharmaceutical interest.

Intimate Partner Violence Attitudes: Who Tolerates the Most?

Aim: to identify whether demographic variables, the type and length of romantic relationships, and alcohol consumption were risk factors related to attitudes toward intimate partner violence (IPV).

Method: 723 adults filled the IPVAS and a demographic survey.

Results: women were less likely to accept control; participants with technical education were more likely to tolerate control and abuse; those with secondary education were at higher risk to accept physical violence, while participants aged 26-35 were at lower risk; people who were dating someone were at higher risk to tolerate control, but were at a lower risk to accept physical violence; and those who consume alcohol were more likely to accept abuse.

Given the massive release of misleading information during the pandemic, some pharmacies recommend drugs such as ivermectin, azithromycin, and hydroxychloroquine that are not useful for preventing or treating COVID-19 and could expose patients to unnecessary adverse drug reactions (ADRs), drug-drug interactions (DDIs), disease masking, and antibiotic resistance.

Rationale: SM with drugs advertised for COVID-19 can have consequences, and people should be aware of approved uses, potential contraindications, and ADRs.
