Treatments for oral squamous cell carcinomas (OSCCs) often result in significant aesthetic and functional issues, impacting patients' quality of life (QoL). The COVID-19 pandemic's mask mandates may have provided psychosocial benefits by concealing facial disfigurements, potentially reducing stigma. This study aimed to assess the impact of mask-wearing on the QoL of patients surgically treated for OSCC.

Background: After failure of first-line chemotherapy, standard of care for advanced urothelial cancer (aUC) is immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) targeting PD-1/PD-L1 pathway. Several prognostic models (Bajorin and Bellmunt scores) have been evaluated, but only in the context of chemotherapy.
Objective: To study whether the variables in these scores and new emerging clinical and biological criteria have an impact on the probability of objective response in aUC treated with ICIs in 2nd-line setting and beyond.

Background: Clinical trials have demonstrated the effectiveness of biologics in treating chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP). However, real-world evidence regarding patient outcomes and predictors of clinical response remains limited.
Methodology: In this multicentric 18-month follow-up study, 326 adult patients who initiated biologic therapy for severe uncontrolled CRSwNP were included.

Background: Treating options for vocal fold cysts became more diversified with office-based laryngological surgery advances, offering new soft interventions, promising a good vocal outcome within a shorter healing period.
Methods: We proposed two types of in-office surgeries, performed in the outpatient setting: a cyst punction-aspiration emptying the cyst, relieving its tension and improving the mucosal wave, with 4 cases showing no refilling within one year of follow-up, and a cyst marsupialization with Blue Laser, with 3 reported cases showing good vocal fold healing within three months.
Conclusion: Both techniques showed promising results in improving vocal function and minimizing recovery time.

Exposure to non-ionizing radiation has become inevitable because people cannot escape sources of electromagnetic fields, such as Wi-Fi or cell phones. Among the mechanisms mentioned, the energy emitted by this non-ionizing radiation could cause heating which would have harmful effects on semen quality. The objective of our study was to carry out a systematic review of the literature concerning the impact of exposure to non-ionizing radiation from mobile phones (or other sources) on sperm parameters.

Introduction: The role of microbial profiles in Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyps (CRSwNP) pathogenesis is increasingly recognised, with microbial imbalances perpetuating inflammation. We performed this study to associate the different nasal microbiological profile changes with the response to surgical or monoclonal treatment.
Methods: This prospective observational study evaluated changes in the nasal microbial profiles of 44 patients (22 dupilumab, 22 surgery) over 6 months.

Multiple endocrine neoplasia (MEN) is a group of rare genetic diseases characterized by the occurrence of multiple tumors of the endocrine system in the same patient. The first MEN described was MEN1, followed by MEN2A, and MEN2B. The identification of the genes responsible for these syndromes led to the introduction of family genetic screening programs.

Unilateral vocal fold paralysis (UVFP) has a known impact on patients' quality of life. One of the potentially affected domains that has not been studied yet is emotional prosody. To produce and transmit an efficient emotional prosody, several vocal parameters are modulated by the speaker, principally the fundamental frequency, the speech rate, and the voice intensity.
