Background: This study aimed to analyze the incidence of delayed cerebral ischemia (DCI) and outcome stratified by age in patients who suffered aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage.
Methods: A cohort study with patients from Christ the Redeemer Hospital from 2014 to 2020, with 359 patients separated into 2 groups, 48 of them aged under 40 years and 311 aged 40 years or over.
Results: In patients under 40 years of age, DCI was found in 81.

Statement Of Problem: Tooth loss is a critical indicator of oral health and negatively impacts oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) depending on the number and location of the missing teeth. Reports of oral rehabilitation have been conflicting depending on the tooth loss pattern and prostheses provided.
Purpose: The purpose of this population-based study was to evaluate the association between the use of different dental prostheses according to different tooth loss patterns and OHRQoL.

Objective: The aim of this study was to assess the rate of bacterial infections in COVID-19-hospitalized patients and to analyze the most prevalent germs, sources, risk factors, and its impact on in-hospital mortality.
Methods: This observational retrospective study was conducted on 672 patients hospitalized between April and August 2020 in Nossa Senhora da Conceição Hospital, a public hospital located in Porto Alegre, Brazil. The inclusion criterion was adult patients hospitalized with confirmed COVID-19.

Objective: To evaluate the association between dental visits and variation in the glycated hemoglobin index (A1C) of patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) with well or not well glycemic control over time.
Methods: Patients with T2DM, A1C ≥ 7% (not well-controlled) and < 7% (well-controlled), who attended a primary care service and were followed up from January 2010 to May 2018. The outcome was the variation of A1C obtained from reference laboratories.

This study used data from 2,222 mothers and infants participating in a population-based birth cohort to verify whether maternal depression in the perinatal period was associated with poor infant sleep. Mothers who scored ≥13 points on the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale at 16-24 weeks of gestation and/or 3 months after delivery were considered perinatally depressed. The main outcome variable was poor infant sleep at 12 months of age, defined as >3 night wakings, nocturnal wakefulness >1 hr or total sleep duration <9 hr.
