Methods: A UNET was trained to reconstruct susceptibility maps using synthetically generated, unwrapped, multi-echo phase data as input. The RMS error with respect to synthetic validation data was computed.

Purpose: Improvements of heat-delivery systems have led to hyperthermia (HT) being increasingly recognized as an adjunct treatment modality also for brain tumors. But how HT affects the immune phenotype of glioblastoma cells is only scarcely known.
Materials And Methods: We therefore investigated the effect of HT, radiotherapy (RT), and the combination of both (RHT) on cell death modalities, immune checkpoint molecule (ICM) expression and release of the danger signal HSP70 of two human glioblastoma cell lines (U87 and U251) by using multicolor flow cytometry and ELISA.

Our study aimed to assess the applicability of miR-486 in combination with soluble GP88 protein as a diagnostic and/or predictive biomarker for prostate cancer (PCa) patients. miR-486 and GP88 levels in serum samples from 136 patients undergoing MRI-guided biopsy of the prostate were assessed by qRT−PCR and ELISA, respectively. Of these, 86 patients received a histologically confirmed diagnosis of PCa.

Hyperthermia (HT) is an accepted treatment for recurrent breast cancer which locally heats the tumor to 39-44 °C, and it is a very potent sensitizer for radiotherapy (RT) and chemotherapy. However, currently little is known about how HT with a distinct temperature, and particularly, how the sequence of HT and RT changes the immune phenotype of breast cancer cells. Therefore, human MDA-MB-231 and MCF-7 breast cancer cells were treated with HT of different temperatures (39, 41 and 44 °C), alone and in combination with RT (2 × 5 Gy) in different sequences, with either RT or HT first, followed by the other.

Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) is cytogenetically characterized by the classic translocation t(9;22)(q34;q11), whereas additional non-Philadelphia aberrations (nPhAs) have been studied extensively in adult patients with CML, knowledge on nPhAs in pediatric patients with CML is still sparse. Here, we have determined nPhAs in a cohort of 161 patients younger than 18 years diagnosed with chronic phase CML and consecutively enrolled in the German national CML-PAED-II registry. In 150 cases (93%), an informative cytogenetic analysis had been performed at diagnosis.

Purpose: Robust biomarkers to predict response to immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) in metastatic urothelial carcinoma (mUC) are still in demand. Recently, early C-reactive protein (CRP) kinetics and especially the novel CRP flare-response phenomenon has been associated with immunotherapy response.
Methods: We conducted a multicentre observational study comprising 154 patients with mUC treated with ICB to evaluate the predictive value of a previously described on-treatment CRP kinetics: CRP flare responders (at least doubling of baseline CRP within the first month after initiation of ICB followed by a decline below baseline within three months), CRP responders (decline in baseline CRP by ≥ 30% within three months without a prior flare) and the remaining patients as CRP non-responders.

The immense size of whole-slide-images (WSIs), however, poses a challenge in terms of computation time.
