Background: Mucoid degeneration of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is an uncommon non-traumatic cause of knee pain and motion restriction, typically seen in a middle-aged population. Primarily, the management consists of partial arthroscopic debridement and notchplasty, which has proven satisfactory clinical and functional outcomes.
Study Objectives: This review aims to highlight key clinical, radiological and arthroscopic findings of mucoid ACL degeneration, and also to provide an approach to manage a symptomatic middle-aged athlete.

Reactive oxygen species (ROS) overproduction and ROS-signaling pathways activation attack the eyes. We evaluated the oxidative stress (OS) and the effects of a daily, core nutritional supplement regimen containing antioxidants and omega 3 fatty acids (A/ω3) in type 2 diabetics (T2DM). A case-control study was carried out in 480 participants [287 T2DM patients with (+)/without (-) diabetic retinopathy (DR) and 193 healthy controls (CG)], randomly assigned to a daily pill of A/ω3.

Background: PPP2R2A deletions were recently linked to a subgroup of luminal breast carcinoma (BC) that exhibits poor survival. This subgroup also exhibited amplification of a chromosome region containing the Cyclin D1 coding gene, CCND1. Therefore, we aimed to investigate whether a combination of PPP2R2A (B55α) and Cyclin D1 expression statuses evaluated by immunohistochemistry (IHC) could define a subgroup of luminal BC that exhibits poor survival.
