Objectives: To analyze the effects of a program composed of resistance training and nutritional interventions on functional capacity, maximal strength, and power output after 2 years of follow-up, including 2 periods of 16 weeks of intervention followed by several weeks of intervention cessation in frail patients with type 2 diabetes.

Phenotype-specific omic expression patterns in people with frailty could provide invaluable insight into the underlying multi-systemic pathological processes and targets for intervention.
