The species of the genus Acanthocephalus are known for their very small chromosomes with ambiguous morphology, which makes karyotyping difficult. In this study, we performed the first satellitome analysis of three Acanthocephalus species to identify species- and chromosome-specific satellites that could serve as cytogenetic markers.

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is associated with chronic low-grade inflammation, but the primary factors triggering this inflammation remain unclear. Extracellular or cell-free DNA (exDNA) originates from virtually all tissues, being released during cell death, and stimulates the innate immune system. Our study was designed as an observational, cross-sectional cohort study of children with CKD (both before and after kidney transplantation) and controls to analyze associations between exDNA, markers of inflammation, and cardiovascular health.

Introduction And Hypothesis: Measuring changes in the vaginal pressure profile (VPP) with the Femfit® by JUNOFEM during various sports will help improve understanding of the magnitude of pressures generated during such activities and the pelvic floor's response to those pressures. This could aid in selecting safe exercises for women with pelvic floor dysfunction. The primary aim of this study was to measure intravaginal pressure changes using a novel pressure sensor array (Femfit®) during high-risk sports activities in elite female athletes with and without stress urinary incontinence (SUI).

Pembrolizumab- induced subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus in a patient with oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma: A case report and literature review.

Considering the increasing use of immune checkpoint inhibitors in cancer treatment, our aim is to report a rare cutaneous immune-related adverse event induced by PD-1 inhibitor pembrolizumab and provide a brief overview of pembrolizumab-induced subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus (SCLE) cases in the literature. We report a 67-year-old woman with oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma who developed SCLE during treatment with pembrolizumab. After 18 weeks (sixth cycle) of pembrolizumab immunotherapy, a widespread pruritic erythematous rash evaluated as grade 3 immune-related adverse event appeared primarily on the patient's limbs.

Clinical features, treatment modalities, and survival rates of pediatric central nervous system tumors: A retrospective analysis from a single center (2000-2020).

Despite treatment advances, high mortality and poor quality of life in a lot of cases persist. This study assesses the clinical features, treatment modalities, and survival rates of pediatric CNS tumor patients in the single largest center in Slovakia.

Objectives: An unhealthy lifestyle, inappropriate eating habits, and inadequate physical activity are the most common risk factors affecting health and causing the premature onset of non-communicable diseases. The study aimed to evaluate lifestyle factors, eating habits, and daily regimens in a sample of Slovak adolescents.

Methods: The sample involves 524 students aged 15-22 years attending selected secondary schools from the model region of Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.
