Methods: To identify websites, we used the search terms "epilepsy," "genetic epilepsy," and "epilepsy genetics" in Google, using Incognito mode. We selected the first ten English, non-sponsored websites for analysis.

Introduction: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the leading cause of dementia, affecting around 50 million individuals worldwide. Brain-derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) can cross the blood-brain barrier carrying neuron-specific molecules, such as microRNAs (miRNAs), which have potential as biomarkers of neurodegeneration.

In vivo proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (H-MRS) data often exhibit baselines or low-amplitude signal variations resulting from residual water, imperfectly suppressed lipids, low-amplitude metabolites not considered for fitting, and other features not represented in a basis set. While multitudinous approaches exist to model these baselines in H-MR spectral analysis, many continue to lack systematic validation against varied and realistic ground-truth standards. Here, we compare the accuracy (error mean) and precision (error standard deviation) of metabolite scaling estimates by linear combination modeling (LCM) spectral fitting accounting for spectral baselines via smoothed cubic splines at 50 different combinations of fixed knot interval and smoothing weight, either with or without additionally simulated Gaussian basis signals to separately model spectral macromolecules.

Long-acting injectable antiretroviral treatment (LAI ART) has the potential to transform HIV care and reduce HIV-related health inequities in achieving and maintaining viral suppression. However, without a plan for equitable roll-out of LAI ART, new pharmacological innovations in HIV treatment and prevention risk further deepening health disparities. This study delineates a process for providing universal LAI ART education to people with HIV (PWH) at an urban outpatient infectious disease clinic and documents the outcomes of these efforts.

Labor actions by healthcare workers are increasing in frequency and quantity, particularly throughout the United States. Regardless of their cause and size, these strikes could disrupt normal hospital operations and impact patient access to care, quality of care, and costs. Strikes resemble other large-scale incidents like natural disasters, pandemics, or terrorist attacks by shrinking a hospital's capacity to care for patients, forcing hospitals to pursue logistically complicated actions such as finding replacement providers, and impacting nearby facilities due to patient offloading.

C-X-C chemokine receptor type 4 (CXCR4) belongs to the seven-span G protein-coupled receptor family and plays an important role in promoting cancer metastasis. The single-span receptor, low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 6 (LRP6) is commonly considered to be a co-receptor of Wnt and plays an indispensable role during animal development. We recently demonstrated that LRP6 directly binds to CXCR4 via its ectodomain and prevents CXCR4-induced breast cancer metastasis.
