Introduction: Transition clinics are conceived as programs dedicated to the active, multidimensional development of a process that addresses the medical, psychosocial, educational, and vocational needs of pediatric patients suffering from a chronic disease that will persist into adulthood. Their understanding is justified in physiological, psychological, and sociocultural terms on the basis of the differential morbidity and mortality associated with a chronic disease that begins in childhood and prevails into adulthood.
Materials And Methods: Here, we reflect on the history, structure, and impact of transition clinics in pediatrics, with an emphasis on pediatric rheumatologic diseases.

Unhealthy lifestyles risk factors, such as smoking, alcohol consumption, physical inactivity, poor diet, and obesity, have been associated with a higher risk of all-cause and cause-specific mortality. However, composite score of these unhealthy behaviours has not been considered, particularly in Latin American populations. Herein, we examined the association of lifestyle risk factors score with all-cause and cause-specific mortality in Mexican adults.

Globally, the companies that make commercial use of bamboo culms produce different kinds of solid waste rich in lignocellulosic biomass, which in some cases is not used and is discarded in landfills or incinerated in the open air; losing the possibility of recovering them and using them in other productive sectors. The research objective were to produce a biochar from Guadua agustifolia Kunth sawdust, evaluate its potential environmental and agricultural use, obtain a biochar/TiO composite to inactivate Escherichia coli and use the biochar as a soil conditioner in medicinal plants producing phenolic compounds and flavonoids. Biochar composite (produced at 300 °C for 1 h) involved TiO at 450 °C for 1 h for inactivation of E.

In recent years there has been a sustained rise in the number of international migrants, and scholarship and practice have increasingly focused on the relationship between health and migration. However, the entitlement to state-subsidized services for migrants with precarious or irregular legal status, often fleeing distressing living conditions, is typically limited to emergency lifesaving health treatment, with nonstate programs attempting to complement this constrained approach. This paper asks whether a primary health care (PHC) approach could serve as a blueprint for institutional priority-setting and for the realization of human rights obligations to help states meet their core international commitments regarding migrant health rights.

In her 2023 report to the United Nations Human Rights Council on digital innovation, technology, and the right to health, the Special Rapporteur on the right to health underscored the positive impact of the digital transformation on young people, but also noted serious concerns, calling for greater efforts to consult and engage with youth and civil society. In our study, early-career researchers from Bangladesh and Colombia collaborated within a broader international research and advocacy project to investigate how diverse young adults experience digital health and to invite their recommendations and collaborative advocacy. Researchers held focus group discussions and interviews with young adults aged 18-30 (in Bangladesh, predominantly men; in Colombia, people living with HIV, gay men, and transgender women).

Primal world beliefs ("primals") capture individuals' basic understanding of what sort of world this is. How do children develop beliefs about the nature of the world? Is the world a good place? Safe or dangerous? Enticing or dull? Primals were initially introduced in social and personality psychology to understand beliefs about the world as a whole that may influence well-being and personality. This article introduces the concept of primals to developmental scientists and reviews preliminary research examining how primals relate to sociodemographic and well-being indicators.

The framework of stakeholder pressures in sports industries, and in the specific case of football, has been used to identify the reasons why management bodies incorporate interested parties into their business strategy. This is primarily contingent on the pressures that interested parties generate. One of the most influential stakeholders is the fan base, given the emotional attachment that this type of sport evokes in them, commonly referred to as "the fan's affective connection.

This cross-sectional study aimed to describe the presence of gastric habronematidosis using gastroscopy and histopathology as diagnostic methods, in addition to evaluating the relationship between the parasite presence and concurrent gastric diseases. Numerous studies have been carried out with equines, mules not being targeted even though these are representative species because of number and the various agricultural tasks they perform worldwide. To fill this gap in the literature, this study evaluated a population of 97 male and female mules over two years old using two diagnostic methods.
