Background: Riverine communities face various health problems, which involve geographical and cultural barriers to accessing care, in addition to a lack of financial investments in services aimed at these communities, resulting in a process of invisibility for the population living in these regions. In this scenario, the significant burden of snakebite envenoming (SBE) highlights the need for participatory research to address ways to minimize this situation. Thus, this study aimed to describe the priority health problems identified by this population and the ranking of SBEs in that context, mapping solutions according to the local reality.

Although well-researched practices exist to address these disorders, most people with psychiatric illnesses do not have access to care that has been demonstrated to be effective. Practical clinical leadership experience and engagement in evidence-based practice (EBP) implementation research in Colombia and the United States have demonstrated that multisite EBP implementation is possible and that effective implementation improves outcomes for people who develop psychiatric illnesses.

The Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) is a widely used self-report measure of subjective well-being, but studies of its measurement invariance across a large number of nations remain limited. Here, we utilised the Body Image in Nature (BINS) dataset-with data collected between 2020 and 2022 -to assess measurement invariance of the SWLS across 65 nations, 40 languages, gender identities, and age groups (N = 56,968). Efficacy of subcutaneous perispinal infiltration of triamcinolone in patients with symptomatic cervical osteoarthritis.

Objective: To assess the efficacy and safety of subcutaneous perispinal infiltration of low dose of triamcinolone and lidocaine indicated for pain control in patients with cervical osteoarthritis (COA).

Methods: Patients with symptomatic COA resistant to conventional treatment including anti-inflammatory drugs, analgesics, and physical therapy were included. Technetium-99 m pyrophosphate (99mTc-PYP) scintigraphy and computerized tomography (CT) fusion scans images were used for diagnosis of COA and as a guide for level(s) of infiltration(s).

COVID-19 impacted many men's intimate partner relationships, with distressed and disrupted partnerships consistently featured in commentaries with linkages to mental health challenges. The current study draws from interviews with 23 Canadian-based men, 19-50 years old, who experienced a break-up during COVID-19. Addressing the research question, "What are the connections between masculinities, men's mental health, and intimate partner relationship break-ups during COVID-19?", three thematic findings were derived: (1) Virtually Together and Growing Apart, (2) Mentally Trapped, and Failing Fast and Slow, and (3) Introspections and Moving On.

Post hoc analyses of 9-valent human papillomavirus (9vHPV) vaccine immunogenicity were conducted in five Phase 3 studies that enrolled males. Background: Contamination of Cartagena Bay, Colombia with heavy metals such as mercury (Hg) and cadmium (Cd) presents a major environmental and public health concern, particularly for human communities residing on nearby islands and coastal areas. These populations face enhanced exposure risks owing to their traditional fishing practices and continuous interactions with polluted marine environments. This study aimed to evaluate the genotoxic effects of environmental exposure to Hg and Cd in populations from the island zone of the Cartagena district, Bolívar.

Mediation of anxiety and coping strategies between severe discipline and interparental conflict with parenting stress.

Parenting stress is a complex process for parents who feel that the demands of their children upbringing overwhelm their roles. Parenting stress can be associated with anxiety, parental conflict and harsh discipline practices, and the use of coping strategies that positively buffer the effect of these variables on parents. Although the factors associated with parenting stress are well documented, the literature offers few models to explain the stress and the mediation of certain variables on Colombian families.
