In Colombia, LGBTIQ+ identities in the educational field are often considered sensitive and perceived as taboo, which may contribute to their underrepresentation in research. In the English as a foreign language (EFL) field, limited attention has been given to the perspectives and experiences of LGBTIQ+ teachers in schools. As a result, the perceptions and realities faced by this group of stakeholders have been overlooked, creating a gap in research.

Unlabelled: Transposition of the great arteries (Dextro-TGA), repaired with physiological correction techniques (atrial switch - Mustard or Senning surgery), can present as a complication the failure of the right ventricle that acts as systemic and, at the same time, deconditioning of the left ventricle, leading to congestive heart failure. In these patients, treatment and recovery options are very limited.

Ultrasonic sensors based on backscattering principles have been developed for various applications involving arbitrary or random scatterer distributions. Although the theory of multiple scattering of waves is well-established, it has not been thoroughly explored in these applications. This work presents a feasible and simplified three-dimensional scattering model to predict the transient response generated by a set of rods positioned in the near field of a 1 MHz water-coupled ultrasonic transducer.

The rotator cuff, a vital group of tendons and muscles in the shoulder, is essential for stabilizing the joint and enabling a wide range of arm movements. Rotator cuff tears, common across all age groups, often cause significant pain and functional limitations. Rotator cuff repair surgery aims to alleviate pain, restore function, and improve quality of life.

Nowadays, organizations must comply with high-quality standards, health and safety regulations, and socially sustainable practices to succeed in a globalized world. Supply Chains (SC) enable them to satisfy their customers' needs for quality products just in time and at the best price. However, management systems (MS) need to be improved to identify, evaluate, and control ergonomic risks, which opens a research opportunity for Ergonomics Management Systems (EMS) as they apply to sustainable SCs.

Introduction: The purpose of this study was to explore the implications of the in-field implementation of a teaching strategy that promotes critical thinking (TPCT) on tactical ability, declarative, and procedural knowledge. The TPCT is grounded in socio-constructivist theory and aims to enhance players' analytical skills through inquiry, problem-solving, and observation. By emphasizing the socio-constructivist approach, the program fosters skills such as interpretation, analysis, inference, evaluation, explanation, and self-regulation, encouraging players' active participation in questioning and collaborative problem-solving activities.

The search for alternative material sources to conventional ones has had a significant impact on the construction sector today, driven by the implementation of sustainable development policies on a global scale. Alternative cementitious materials, such as agricultural industry by-products, have been introduced to ensure the efficient use of renewable natural resources while promoting a balance between the technical and economic aspects of infrastructure projects. This article provides an overview of research conducted on the use of pozzolans derived from agro-industrial by-products, such as rice husk ash (RHA), palm oil fuel ash (POFA), and sugarcane bagasse ash (SCBA), which have a high content of amorphous silica.

In marine ecosystems, arsenic (As) and total mercury (T-Hg) represent two of the major pollutants, particularly in fish due to their ecology and the affinity of these metal(loid)s with biological cycles. This study assessed the influence of total length, total weight, relative condition factor, and trophic levels of ten marine fish species from the Colombian Caribbean on As and T-Hg accumulation in muscle tissue, as well as the differentiation in accumulated amounts based on fish habitat type. In this context, Balistes capriscus exhibited the highest As median (7949.

Socio-ecological sustainability arises from interactions between natural and social systems. Sustainability in water security means effectively managing water resources to continuously achieve social goals without surpassing ecological limits to maintain or enhance ecological integrity and social well-being. Despite efforts to measure sustainability focused on water security, challenges remain, such as selecting indicators that capture socio-ecological dynamics and defining appropriate aggregation methods.
