Premise: The warmer and drier atmospheric conditions of urban environments challenge plant performance to different extents based on a species' ability to acclimate to the conditions. We evaluated the influence of species origin and thermal niche on the acclimation of leaf traits and shifts in the occupation of the functional trait space of 10 tree species growing in two environmentally contrasting sites in Bogotá, Colombia.

Methods: We measured six leaf traits per species in both sites and used generalized linear models to evaluate the influence of origin and thermal niche on acclimation of leaf traits and t-tests to analyze shifts in the occupation of the functional trait space.

Therefore, we aimed to assess the structural validity, internal consistency and item response analysis of the DLQI through the item response theory (IRT) or the Rasch model.

Material And Methods: We assessed the dimensionality of the DLQI, determined its difficulty, discrimination and differential functioning and went on to evaluate its internal consistency and discriminative validity among patients with inflammatory and non-inflammatory skin disease.

This article reflects on the concepts of health, well-being, gender, and dignity when providing nursing care to older adults, focusing on their wisdom and the phenomena that can affect their health or improve their quality of life. These concepts are analyzed based on the current health conditions of older adults and their needs, on the perspectives of authors in this field of research, and on Patricia Benner's philosophy: the integration of science, clinical wisdom, and ethics in nursing practice. Furthermore, this article aims at contributing to the health, well-being, gender, and dignity of older adults, despite the discrimination that they may face, as well as to the reality of nursing practice.

Infidelity in Men with Erectile Dysfunction and Its Association with the Severity of the Condition: A Comparative Analysis Across Six Ibero-american Countries.

In this study, data from 7,440 patients from six Ibero-American countries were analyzed, focusing on men who consulted for erectile dysfunction (ED). Participants were queried about infidelity in their relationships. Results showed a negative correlation between infidelity and the severity of ED, suggesting that the likelihood of infidelity decreases as the severity of ED increases.

Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis in early pregnancy: A rare and fatal diagnostic challenge.

Objective: This report details the complexities of diagnosing and treating rapid-onset multisystemic hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) during pregnancy, as evidenced by a fatal case in early pregnancy with severe hematological and obstetric complications.

Case Presentation: A 20-year-old pregnant woman in her second pregnancy presented at 8 weeks of gestation with abdominal pain, fever, and rectal bleeding. Laboratory tests revealed leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, and anemia, leading to immediate transfusion and intensive care unit admission.
