This study aims to explore the mechanism of Zhuanggu Jianxi Decoction in reducing synovial tissue inflammation in human knee osteoarthritis(KOA) via the liver X receptors(LXRs)/nuclear factor(NF)-κB signaling pathway. The synovial tissue samples were collected from 5 healthy volunteers and 30 KOA synovitis patients and cultured in vitro. The samples from the heathy volunteers were set as the normal group, and those from KOA synovitis patients were randomized into synovitis, Zhuanggu Jianxi Decoction, LXRα inhibitor, and N-CoR inhibitor groups.

This systematic review aims to: 1) provide an overview of substance use treatments for mothers of young children (from birth to 5 years old); 2) synthesize findings on maternal substance use and child/maternal mental health outcomes; and 3) identify key treatment components. Cognitive decline is an important feature of an aging population. Despite the large body of research investigating the effects of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) on cognitive performance, reports of its effectiveness are inconsistent and it is difficult to determine what factors moderate these effects. The purpose of this study was to conduct a meta-analysis of existing randomised controlled trials investigating the effects of HIIT on various domains of cognitive performance, and to further examine the intervention cycle and age-related moderating effects.

Accumulating studies have highlighted the links between stress-related networks and the HPA axis for emotion regulation and proved the mapping associations between altered structural and functional networks (called SC-FC coupling) in depression. However, the signatures of SC-FC coupling in subthreshold depression (StD) individuals and their relationships with HPA axis reactivity, as well as the predictive power of these combinations for discriminating StD, remain unclear. Objective: The objective of this research is to examine the association between neutrophil percentage-to-albumin ratio (NPAR) and stroke, providing a reference for the prevention and prognosis of clinical stroke.

Method: The study included 56,566 participants from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) to explore the association between NPAR and stroke using logistic regression and restricted cubic splines. Upon identifying the nonlinear relationship, inflection points were calculated using recursive algorithms and two-stage linear regression models.

Nursing Home Staff Perspectives of the Benefits and Challenges of Providing Dementia Care.

Objectives: To capture nursing home staff perspectives on the benefits and challenges related to caring for residents living with Alzheimer disease and other related dementias. These perspectives will inform the initial development of strategies to help with staff retention.
