Background: Although many studies have focused on leisure time physical activity (LTPA), household physical activity (HPA) can contribute to health benefits. Methods: A total of 125,299 participants 40 to 69 years old and enrolled in the Health Examinees (HEXA) study from 2004 to 2012 were included in this study.
This study examined whether maturation status, body physique, and the impact of training are related to the development of Achilles tendon structure in young dancers. Seventy-one pre- and post-menarche dancers (12 to 15 years of age) were recruited. The Achilles tendon of each dancer was examined via ultrasonography tissue characterization (UTC) imaging.

The effects of childhood obesity on tendon structure and its relation to physical activity are barely known. We aimed to investigate the influence of a 6-month multidisciplinary childhood obesity management program (which included dietary intervention and an exercise program) on Achilles tendon structure in overweight/obese children. Twenty-five overweight/obese children (overweight group) who participated in a 6-month multidisciplinary childhood obesity program, and 27 normal-weight controls were examined for anthropometric measurements and for Achilles tendon structure (using ultrasound tissue characterization to capture a three-dimensional structure of four echo type fibers and the cross-sectional area) at baseline, 3, and 6 months.

Spa treatment can effectively reestablish mood balance in patients with psychiatric disorders. In light of the adrenal gland's role as a crossroad of psychosomatic medicine, this study evaluated changes in 88 circulating steroids and their relationships with a consolidation of somatic, psychosomatic and psychiatric components from a modified N-5 neurotic questionnaire in 46 postmenopausal 50+ women with anxiety-depressive complaints. The patients underwent a standardized one-month intervention therapy with physical activity and an optimized daily regimen in a spa in the Czech Republic.

The aim of the investigation was to verify the validity and reliability of a low-end 50-Hz Global Navigation Satellite System receiver (GNSSr) for different soccer-specific run distances and average speed assessments. Six soccer players were assessed on two different days while performing eight different running paths with changes of direction for a final total of 44 runs.
