Self-powered devices for human motion monitoring and energy harvesting have garnered widespread attention in recent research. In this work, we designed a honeycomb-structured triboelectric nanogenerator (H-TENG) using polyester cloth and Teflon tape, with aluminum foil as the conductive electrode. This design leverages the large surface area and flexibility of textiles, resulting in significant performance improvements.

5-Hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5-HIAA), a vital metabolite of serotonin (5-HT), is crucial for understanding metabolic pathways and is implicated in various mental disorders. In situ monitoring of 5-HIAA is challenging due to the lack of affinity ligands and issues with electrochemical fouling. We present an advanced sensing approach that integrates customizable molecular imprinting polymer (MIP) with self-driven galvanic redox potentiometry (GRP) for precise, real-time in vivo monitoring of 5-HIAA.

The L2 Motivational Self System (L2MSS) determines an individual's motivation in second language learning and influences the learning experience and intended effort. Although physical activity (PA) has been shown to enhance academic efficacy, the role of PA in whether it promotes second language learning efficacy has not been elucidated. Therefore, the present study examined PA as a mediator and explored its ameliorative effects in L2MSS.

Cellular senescence, a hallmark of aging, has emerged as a captivating area of research in tumor immunology with profound implications for cancer prevention and treatment. In the tumor microenvironment, senescent cells exhibit a dual role, simultaneously hindering tumor development through collaboration with immune cells and evading immune cell attacks by upregulating immunoinhibitory proteins. However, the intricate immune escape mechanism of cellular senescence in the tumor microenvironment remains a subject of intense investigation.

Background: Back pain is a common but often underestimated symptom of patients with MS that can negatively influence their quality of life. However there are only limited number of studies comparing the effect of different types of exercise and use of telerehabilitation on back pain in MS. Therefore, the aim of the study is to compare whether telerehabilitation alone is as effective as conventional outpatient physiotherapy followed by online exercise.

Athlete engagement is influenced by several factors, including cohesion, passion and mental toughness. Machine learning methods are frequently employed to construct predictive models as a result of their high efficiency. In order to comprehend the effects of cohesion, passion and mental toughness on athlete engagement, this study utilizes the relevant methods of machine learning to construct a prediction model, so as to find the intrinsic connection between them.

To improve the performance of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) multi-label systems, the multi-label network structure needs to be quickly located and optimized. A multi-label location measurement method based on the NLM-Harris algorithm is proposed in this paper. Firstly, multi-label geometric distribution images are obtained through a label image acquisition system of a multi-label semi-physical simulation platform with two vertical Charge-Coupled Device (CCD) cameras, and Gaussian noise is added to the image to simulate thermoelectric interference.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects and potential mechanisms of 8-week transcranial direct-current stimulation (tDCS) combined with resistance training (RT) on pull-up performance in male college students. Twenty-five male college students were randomly assigned to either RT combined with anodal tDCS stimulation (RT + tDCS) or RT alone (RT). Participants of both groups engaged in lat pull-down training programs for 8 weeks, with the RT + tDCS group receiving 20 min tDCS before each RT session.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a common metabolic disease that is frequently accompanied by multiple complications, including diabetic myopathy, a muscle disorder that is mainly manifested as decreased muscle function and reduced muscle mass. Diabetic myopathy is a relatively common complication among patients with diabetes that is mainly attributed to mitochondrial dysfunction. Therefore, we investigated the mechanisms underlying diabetic myopathy development, focusing on the role of microRNAs (miRs).

This study aimed to systematically review the measurement properties of the Test of Gross Motor Development-3 (TGMD-3) using the COSMIN methodology. A search of four databases (PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, CINAHL) identified 23 relevant studies. The methodological quality of the studies was assessed using the COSMIN risk of bias checklist; the measurement properties of the TGMD-3 were evaluated by the COSMIN quality criteria; and the quality of the evidence was rated using a modified GRADE approach.

Introduction: The present study investigates how autonomy-supportive coaching style influences youth athlete development through psychological resilience and dispositional optimism. Despite growing interest in factors that contribute to athlete development, gaps remain in understanding how coaching approaches interact with psychological traits to foster youth athletes' growth. This study addresses these gaps by proposing a serial mediation model in which autonomy-supportive coaching indirectly enhances athlete development through resilience and optimism.

Overhead throwing sports, such as baseball and softball, pose a risk of upper extremity injuries, including the elbow. Studies on overhead throwing sports among female athletes is scarce compared to their male counterparts. A total of 329 athletes (271 softball, 58 baseball) aged 18-22 years participated in the study and answered an anonymous survey regarding their personal backgrounds and elbow injuries.

Physical exercise has been demonstrated to effectively mitigate repetitive behaviors in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), but the underlying dynamic brain network mechanisms are poorly understood. The triple network model consists of three brain networks that jointly regulate cognitive and emotional processes and is considered to be the core network underlying the aberrant manifestations of ASD. This study investigated whether a mini-basketball training program (MBTP) could alter repetitive behaviors and the dynamic connectivity of the triple network.

Objective: Exercise-related cognitive errors (ECEs) is a significant factor that can negatively influence physical activity (PA) engagement among emerging adults, whereas mindfulness interventions may be beneficial for promoting PA. Against this background, we investigated the potential association between trait mindfulness and PA levels among emerging adults and determined whether trait self-control and ECEs serve as mediators.

With the increasing detection rate of Internet addiction in college students, the correlation between Internet addiction and emotional problems is further strengthened. Therefore, it is crucial to actively investigate the emotional mechanisms underlying college students' internet addiction to foster their healthy development. This study establishes a moderated mediation model based on the relationships among experiential avoidance, internet addiction, anxiety, and difficulty describing feelings to explore the link between experiential avoidance and internet addiction, the mediating role of anxiety, and the moderating effect of difficulty describing feelings.

The kinases AMPK, and mTOR as part of either mTORC1 or mTORC2, are major orchestrators of cellular growth and metabolism. Phosphorylation of mTOR Ser1261 is reportedly stimulated by both insulin and AMPK activation and a regulator of both mTORC1 and mTORC2 activity. Intrigued by the possibilities that Ser1261 might be a convergence point between insulin and AMPK signaling in skeletal muscle, we investigated the regulation and function of this site using a combination of human exercise, transgenic mouse, and cell culture models.
