A fluorescent aptasensor was developed based on target-induced hairpin conformation switch coupled with nicking enzyme-assisted signal amplification (NESA) to detect the oligomeric form of ß-amyolid peptide (AβO) in cerebrospinal fluid. Herein, we present an unprecedented electrochemical reductive cyclizative carboxylation of -vinylphenyl isocyanides with carbon dioxide achieved without the use of metal catalysts. This protocol demonstrates a broad substrate scope and good functional group tolerance, facilitating the rapid assembly of 2-oxoindolin-3-acetic acids in good to high yields with excellent regioselectivity. Furthermore, these structural motifs may have potential applications in formal synthesis of bioactive natural products.

Furthermore, protective autophagy is pivotal in sustaining tumor cell homeostasis and modulating the tumor microenvironment (TME), thereby representing a critical target for the development of antitumor drugs. This study evaluates the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anticancer activities of camphor, menthol and their equimolar combination. In silico toxicity analysis confirmed the absence of toxic effects for both compounds.
