Subdural empyema is rare but serious intracranial infection characterized by accumulation of pus between dura mater and arachnoid layer. The spread of infection is typically originating from sinusitis, otitis media, or osteomyelitis. Early diagnosis by radiological imaging and prompt treatment, either by surgical intervention or by broad spectrum antibiotics are crucial to prevent life threatening complications.

Hence, this study aimed to assess the COVID-19 vaccine acceptance, knowledge, and perception among HCPs for their children.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among HCPs at a tertiary care teaching hospital in Western India.
This case report documents the unusual co-occurrence of immune thrombocytopena (ITP) and chickenpox in a 15-year-old girl. Initial symptoms included shortness of breath, chest pain, and heavy menstrual bleeding. Laboratory results revealed significant anemia and thrombocytopenia.

Foreign body ingestion/aspiration can occur during orthodontic procedures that may be of minimal risk or lead to acute medical and life-threatening emergencies. The present report describes a rare case of retained orthodontic wire fragment in the masticator space for nearly two decades identified as an incidental radiographic finding, highlighting the importance of optimum care in the dental clinic at all times be it surgical or nonsurgical intervention.

Abstract: Millions of people worldwide suffer from osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures (OVCFs) annually, which cause pain and functional limitations, particularly in the elderly. Conservative treatments such as pain management, rest, and medication are frequently used, while surgical options such as vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty are considered.
Pigmented basal cell carcinoma is a rare variant of basal cell carcinoma, with only a limited number of reported cases. Because of its similar clinical presentation, it is often over-diagnosed as malignant melanoma. Along with case presentation, the clinical, microscopic features, and differential diagnosis are discussed in this case report.

The present case report depicts an unusually large desmoplastic fibroblastoma. The diagnosis of the lesion appears to be deceptive clinically.
