Background and aim Subthreshold depression is a potential risk factor for major depressive disorder. Although the neurobiological mechanism underlying major depressive disorder is well-established, the mechanism underlying subthreshold depression has not yet been fully elucidated. We investigated the characteristics of brain abnormalities in participants with subthreshold depression using near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) owing to its portability.

This study compared the long-term effects of a mindful compassion program on improving depression in lung cancer patients, both in patient-caregiver dyads and in patient-only groups, and examined the moderating roles of anxiety and quality of life (QOL). Data collection included various assessments at different time points: baseline (T0), end of intervention (T1), and follow-up at the 5th month (T2), 8th month (T3), and 14th month (T4).

In this work, we have adopted an easy route to synthesize bis-1,2,3-triazole-based benzophenone compounds via a 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction (Click chemistry). All the target compounds achieved better yields through the microwave-assisted method than the conventional method. Target compound structures were confirmed on the basis of the IR, H NMR, C NMR, and HR mass analysis.

Validation of the Perceived hope scale in Arabic-speaking adults living in Gaza in the midst of war, destruction and death.

Background: Despite its obvious relevance for clinical practice and research, it is surprising that presently no hope measure is available for use among Arabic-speaking populations, especially the most vulnerable ones who have been going through major humanitarian crises. Purpose: To perform risk assessment and analysis of potential infection during stomatology workflow in a hospital in the context of a major infectious disease outbreak, and to determine the key failure modes and measures to prevent and control infection.

Method: Following the Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) method based on the stomatology workflow, the opinions of 30 domain-experts in related fields were collected through questionnaires to determine all potential failure modes in the severity (S), occurrence (O), and detectability (D) dimensions.
