This study compared the long-term effects of a mindful compassion program on improving depression in lung cancer patients, both in patient-caregiver dyads and in patient-only groups, and examined the moderating roles of anxiety and quality of life (QOL). Participants consisted of 56 dyads, who were randomly assigned to either the dyadic or patient-only groups. Data collection included various assessments at different time points: baseline (T0), end of intervention (T1), and follow-up at the 5th month (T2), 8th month (T3), and 14th month (T4).

Purpose: The primary aim of the study was to examine the association between early childhood practitioners' use of language facilitation strategies during interactive book reading of informational texts related to science and the language skills of preschool children with developmental language disorder (DLD).

Method: Twenty-four practitioners (12 early childhood special education teachers and 12 speech-language pathologists) and 33 preschoolers with DLD participated. Practitioners received training and implemented an informational book-reading intervention for 19 weeks.

A series of [2+2]-photocycloadditions of 1,4-naphthoquinone with various alkenes and diphenylacetylene were investigated under batch and continuous-flow conditions. Acetone-sensitization furnished the corresponding photoadducts in good to excellent yields and purities. Compared to batch operations that demanded exhaustive irradiation times of 10-13 h, the flow process generally gave superior conversions and subsequently yields with a residence time of just 60 min.

The psychological burnout experienced by teachers is not merely a personal issue; it is a significant social problem that impacts the entire educational environment. This study utilised Q methodology to identify the subjective perceptions of psychological burnout among Korean secondary school teachers and then analysed the characteristics of these perception types. An analysis of 34 statements and a P sample of 30 teachers resulted in four types of perceptions regarding teachers' psychological burnout: 'burnout due to damaged self-esteem' (Type 1), 'burnout due to organisational neglect' (Type 2), 'burnout due to excessive role demands' (Type 3) and 'burnout due to disrespectful behaviour' (Type 4).

Background: It is known that being the adult child of a parent with an alcohol use disorder (ACoA) can confer a wide variety of increased health and psychological risks, including higher rates of anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms. Additionally, ACoAs are at greater risk of developing alcohol/substance use disorders (AUDs/SUDs) than individuals from families without a history of AUDs.

Methods: ACoA individuals with risky hazardous alcohol use ( = 14) and those not engaged in hazardous use ( = 14) were compared to a group of healthy controls.
