Ultralow concentration and selective detection of pesticide residue is important to evaluate the environmental and biological pollution and the threat to human health which single component pesticide can bring. Herein, we report an amplified chemiluminescence (CL) sensing platform for ultrasensitive and selective acetamiprid (widely used pesticide) detection. It is based on aptamer's high binding affinity to target and the relevance between AuNPs' morphology and its catalytic effect to stimulate the generation of CL in the presence of H2O2 and luminol.

The effect of γ-poly(glutamic acid) (γ-PGA) on the self-assembly of collagen was studied. Under physiological conditions, the kinetic curves for fibril formation showed that the turbidity of collagen/γ-PGA blends at 313 nm was increased with the addition of γ-PGA. Furthermore, it was shown using both field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) that fibrils with a larger diameter were obtained following the addition of γ-PGA, probably due to the electrostatic and hydrogen bond interactions between collagen and γ-PGA, which promoted the lateral association of collagen molecules.

The interactions of succinylated collagen (SC) and carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) in neutral solutions (pH ∼ 6.9) were investigated, which could provide information for the fields of tissue engineering and cosmetics. According to the results from viscometric measurements, the SC and CMC molecules were possibly compatible as CMC ≤ 50%.

The influence of freeze-thawing cycles (named 'N') on the rheological and thermal properties of bovine skin collagen solution was investigated using a rheometer and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The results of dynamic frequency sweep tests showed that the elasticity of collagen increased as N increased to 3, 5 and 7. Especially, after the freeze-thawing cycles of N=7, the recovery capacity of collagen remarkably increased (from 17.
