It is of interest to compare guided bone regeneration (GBR) with titanium mesh, alveolar distraction osteo-genesis (DO), GBR with auto-genous bone and e-PTFE membranes and onlay bone grafts. This helps to restore vertically lacking alveolar ridges and their capacity to sustain the vertical bone growth acquired both prior to and following implant placement. The parameters such as (i) success and survival of dental implants (ii) peri-implant clinical parameters after prosthetic loading at 1 year, 2 year and 3 year follow up (iii) resorption of alveolar ridge regenerated before placement of dental implants and after placement of dental implants were assessed.

Background: Periapical diseases are common dental conditions that require non-surgical endodontic intervention (NEI) for successful treatment. However, the impact of diabetes mellitus (DM) on the periapical healing (PH) outcome in diabetic patients remains somewhat unclear. This review aimed to evaluate the PH outcome following endodontic intervention among DM-afflicted individuals.

Background: The biocompatibility of 3D-printed dental resins has become a critical concern in modern dentistry due to the increasing utilization of additive manufacturing (AM) techniques in dental applications. These resins serve as essential materials for fabricating dental prostheses, orthodontic devices, and various dental components. As the clinical adoption of 3D printing in dentistry grows, it is imperative to comprehensively assess the biocompatibility of these materials to ensure patient safety and dental treatment efficacy.

Coronal fractures of the anterior teeth give an agonizing experience for a young individual due to the physical disfigurement, and the psychological impact that is imposed on them. One of the options for managing complicated/uncomplicated crown fractures when the tooth fragment is available, and there is no or minimal violation of the biological width is the rebonding of the fractured segment. This treatment approach is promising, providing good and long-lasting esthetics as it helps in maintaining the tooth's original anatomic form, hue, and surface texture.

Background: Since AI algorithms can analyze patient data, medical records, and imaging results to suggest treatment plans and predict outcomes, they have the potential to support pathologists and clinicians in the diagnosis and treatment of oral and maxillofacial pathologies, just like every other area of life in which it is being used. The goal of the current study was to examine all of the trends being investigated in the area of oral and maxillofacial pathology where AI has been possibly involved in helping practitioners.
Methods: We started by defining the important terms in our investigation's subject matter.

Gene sequencing (GS) has numerous applications in combatting oral-cavity related disorders, including identifying genetic risk factors for diseases, developing targeted therapies, and improving diagnostic methods. It can help identify specific genetic mutations or variations that increase the risk of developing oral-cavity related disorders, such as oral cancer, periodontal disease, and cleft lip and palate. By the means of the following investigation, our primary objective was to assess the impact of GS technique in diagnosing and potentially treating diseases of the oral cavity by the means of a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Recent evidence suggests the immense potential of human mesenchymal stem cell (hMSC) secretome conditioned medium-mediated augmentation of angiogenesis. However, angiogenesis potential varies from source and origin. The hMSCs derived from the oral cavity share an exceptional quality due to their origin from a hypoxic environment.

Currently, ligature-free bracket technologies, including self-ligating brackets (SLBs), are all the rage in orthodontics. Self-ligating mechanisms have been shown to be more effective and less time-consuming in orthodontic treatment than traditional appliances due to their enhanced frictional properties. Crucial to the success of the multi-band/bracket method is the transmission of forces and moments from the bracket to the archwire.

The current study aims to present our clinical observations and experience gathered during the diagnosis, clinical presentation, medical/surgical treatment, and functional prosthetic rehabilitation of cases of rhino-orbital/cerebral Mucormycosis patients. Mucormycosis is an aggressive, life-threatening invasive fungal infection that occurs in people who are immune-compromised. The rise of ROCM during the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in India suggests a more effective association between Mucormycosis and the SARS-CoV-2 delta variant.

Introduction: Endodontic mistakes, also known as procedural accidents, are those bad events that occur during treatment, some of which are attributable to a lack of attention to detail and others of which are completely unforeseeable. The second most frequent reason for root canal failure is perforation.
Aims And Objective: The current study's objective was to assess the furcal perforation's potential to be sealed with and without internal matrix by MTA flow, Biodentine, and pro-root MTA.

Introduction: The removal of dental plaque is the primary step in achieving good oral hygiene. Mechanical plaque removal measures have questionable efficacy in inaccessible areas and proximal aspects of the oral cavity. Out of the several types of mouthwash available, chlorhexidine (CHX) is regarded as the gold standard, but considering its adverse effects, herbal alternatives are being sought after.
