Human activity recognition (HAR) is one of the most important segments of technology advancement in applications of smart devices, healthcare systems & fitness. HAR uses details from wearable sensors that capture the way human beings move or engage with their surrounding. Several researchers have thus presented different ways of modeling human motion, and some have been as follows: Many researchers have presented different methods of modeling human movements.

This study offers a comprehensive analysis of the Perturbed Schrödinger -Hirota Equation (PSHE), crucial for understanding soliton dynamics in modern optical communication systems. We extended the traditional Nonlinear Schrödinger Equation (NLSE) to include higher-order nonlinearities and spatiotemporal dispersion, capturing the complexities of light pulse propagation. Employing the modified auxiliary equation method and Adomian Decomposition Method (ADM), we derived a spectrum of exact traveling wave solutions, encompassing exponential, rational, trigonometric, and hyperbolic functions.

Introduction: Emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases continue to pose a severe threat to public health in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) and globally. Community-related interventions, such as community e-Health literacy, can contribute to the preparedness to respond effectively to emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases. This study investigated the relationship between e-Health literacy and SSA countries' perceptions of the importance of readiness for potential pandemics.

Quorum sensing (QS) also known as bacterial cell-cell communication or bacterial crosstalk is a phenomenon regulating various bacterial traits that can affect plant growth and defence. Similarities in the structure of root exudates and bacterial signalling molecules have tremendous implications governing the plant heath. The rhizosphere ecosystem being an excellent example of plant-microbe and microbe-microbe interactions harbours a variety of microorganisms exhibiting quorum sensing.

The Israel military occupation, ongoing for over 75 years, has profoundly impacted the health and well-being of Palestinians. Despite longstanding calls for Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and sustainable development, the response of global health systems and organizations to crises such as the recent large-scale military assault on Gaza in October 2023 has been inadequate. There is a critical need to examine why these global health approaches have failed and how they can be restructured to address the unique challenges in Gaza effectively.

Background: The World Health Organization recommends dolutegravir-based antiretroviral therapy (ART) as the preferred first-line regimen for HIV treatment. This retrospective cohort study evaluated the long-term virologic outcomes and safety of transitioning from an efavirenz-based regimen (tenofovir, lamivudine, efavirenz [TLE]) to a dolutegravir-based regimen (tenofovir, lamivudine, dolutegravir [TLD]) among adult HIV participants in Mbeya, Tanzania.
Methods: Medical records of 250 adult HIV participants who transitioned from TLE to TLD at Mbeya Zonal Referral Hospital were reviewed from August 2022 to December 2022.

Background: Evidence suggests that individuals with motor neuron disease (MND), a terminal illness, find enjoyment and social connection through video games. However, MND-related barriers can make gaming challenging, exacerbating feelings of boredom, stress, isolation, and loss of control over daily life.
Objective: We scoped the evidence to describe relevant research and practice regarding what may help reduce difficulties for people with MND when playing video games.

An electron spin is a natural candidate for a quantum bit - the quantum information storage unit. Stable organic radicals, consisting of unpaired electron spins, can thus be explored for the development of quantum science and technologies, owing to their excellent chemical tunability and their great promise for scalability. The molecular network formed by the stable organic radicals can be used for the design of spin-based quantum computing circuits.

Purpose: Commission of Dental Accreditation (CODA) Standards require graduates to be competent in patient-provider communication. The objectives were (a) to assess dental hygiene and dental students' general communication-related attitudes and self-reported skills related to establishing rapport, utilizing facilitative listening, and summarizing, as well as having oral health literacy-related expertise; (b) to evaluate students' prior public speaking experiences, their motivation to learn more about public speaking and evaluations of the public speaking-related educational intervention; (c) and explore the relationships between communication-related attitudes and skills and public speaking-related education.
Methods: Anonymous web-based survey data were collected from 43 dental hygiene and 206 dental students after they participated in a zoom-based educational intervention entitled "Utilizing Public Speaking Principles in Patient-Dental Care Provider Communication: An Exploration.

Replications are important for assessing the reliability of published findings. However, they are costly, and it is infeasible to replicate everything. Accurate, fast, lower-cost alternatives such as eliciting predictions could accelerate assessment for rapid policy implementation in a crisis and help guide a more efficient allocation of scarce replication resources.

The thalamic reticular nucleus (TRN) is a thin shell of gap junction-coupled GABAergic inhibitory neurons that regulate afferent sensory relay of the thalamus. The TRN receives dopaminergic innervation from the midbrain, and it is known to express high concentrations of D1 and D4 receptors. Although dopaminergic modulation of presynaptic inputs to TRN has been described, the direct effect of dopamine on TRN neurons and its electrical synapses is largely unknown.

This study explores COVID-19 communication between medical experts who upload YouTube videos related to health/medicine (hereinafter medical YouTubers) and their viewers. We investigated three specific elements: (1) how medical YouTubers' use of words related to analytical thinking is associated with their viewers' engagement, (2) how medical YouTubers' use of different types of emotion is associated with their viewers' engagement, and (3) the emotional alignment between medical YouTubers and their viewers. We collected 194 COVID-related video transcripts from five YouTube channels and 375,284 comments from those videos.

Cell attachment is the process by which cells interact with their environment, including neighboring cells and the extracellular matrix (ECM). Attachment plays a critical role in maintaining skin integrity, promoting wound healing, and facilitating cellular communication in epidermal cells, such as keratinocytes. However, the many different factors that can influence this mechanism make it challenging to recapitulate in cellular models.

Linguistic accommodation refers to the process of adjusting one's language, speech, or communication style to match or adapt to that of others in a social interaction. It is known to be vital to effective health communication. Despite this evidence, there is little scientific guidance on how to design linguistically adapted health behavior interventions for diverse English-speaking populations.

The multiple cognitive, somatic, and behavioral changes following head injuries can result in expressive language difficulties that may not be resolved quickly. This paper explores the traumatic brain injury and post-concussive syndrome artwork created by an art therapist and the child of an art therapist, making the invisible neurological consequences of head injuries visible. Our first-person and caregiver perspectives offer examples of visual arts-based communication between patients, health professionals, and family members.

Introduction: Older adults benefit from social connections as it aids in their adjustment to the physical and psychological changes that come with aging, thereby improving their health, well-being, and overall quality of life.
Methods: This study utilizes data from the 2020 China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) to investigate the influence of Socio-economic Status (SES) on the social activity levels of older persons and the disparities observed among demographic groups, employing the Heckman two-stage analysis and heterogeneity analysis.
Results: The results indicate that SES has a significant positive impact on the social engagement of older adults, and this effect varies across different older groups, with women, married individuals living with a spouse, urban residents, those aged 70-79, and individuals with average health conditions.
