Unlabelled: Norm-based accounts of social behavior in economics typically reflect tradeoffs between maximization of own consumption utility and conformity to social norms. Theories of norm-following tend to assume that there exists a single, stable, commonly known injunctive social norm for a given choice setting and that each person has a stable propensity to follow social norms. We collect panel data on 1468 participants aged 11-15 years in Belfast, Northern Ireland and Bogotá, Colombia in which we measure norms for the dictator game and norm-following propensity twice at 10 weeks apart.

This study examined land use land cover change and its determinants in Tigray, Ethiopia and its livelihood zones. We used socioeconomic panel, and satellite data, and applied a mixed-effects model to analyse the factors influencing land allocation among different uses, and transition matrix to analyse land cover dynamics. The results revealed that; land use choices were influenced by plot level factors (such as plot elevation, distance, soil type and quality, and land tenure), household characteristics (such as education, dependency ratio, plot size and number owned, income, livestock and asset, perception of climate change, and access to market and main road), and community level factors (precipitation, product price, population density and livelihood zone variations).

Introduction: Involving parents of children with cerebral palsy (C-CP) in home exercise programmes (HEP) is globally practiced strategy closely linked to improved physical performance and functional outcomes for the child. Nevertheless, non-adherence to HEP is increasing at an alarming rate, and little is known about the factors influencing adherence to HEP (AHEP) especially in parents of C-CP. This systematic review aimed to identify the factors enhancing AHEP among parents of C-CP to reinforce the efficacy of rehabilitation practices proposed by health professionals, researchers, and educators.

Background: Multiple chronic conditions (MCC) are defined as the presence of two or more chronic conditions, that significantly impact health status, functional capacity, quality of life, and overall healthcare management. Despite the significant evidence on chronic disease burden, the co-existence of MCC within a household in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) is less studied. This study therefore estimates the prevalence of MCC and its determinants among adults in the Indian households.

The intensification of the Internet of Health Things devices created security concerns due to the limitations of these devices and the nature of the healthcare data. While dealing with the security challenges, several authentication schemes, protocols, processes, and standards have been adopted. Consequently, making the right decision regarding the installation of a secure authentication solution or procedure becomes tricky and challenging due to the large number of security protocols, complexity, and lack of understanding.

This study investigates the relationship between financial technology (fintech) and environmental efficiency across G20 countries, emphasizing the moderating effect of foreign direct investment (FDI) from 2010 to 2022. Employing Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) through both Slack-Based Measure (SBM) and Epsilon-Based Measure (EBM), alongside Tobit regression and the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) for analytical rigor, the research reveals that fintech exerts a positive influence on environmental efficiency within these countries. Furthermore, it demonstrates that FDI contributes to enhancing environmental efficiency.

Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) are ideally positioned to identify and address health-related social needs, but little is understood about the relationship between social risk factor (SRF) screening and health outcomes. We studied 1352 FQHCs from the 2019 Uniform Data System. Ordinary least squares regression was used to estimate the relationship between SRF screening and the percentage of patients with adequately controlled diabetes and hypertension.

People's motivational processes, well-being, and performance are likely to be facilitated through the support of others. Self-determination theory argues that interpersonal supports for autonomy, competence, and relatedness are crucial to achieve these outcomes. In the present study, we provide a comprehensive examination of this formulation based on a meta-analytic database consisting of 4,561 effect sizes from 881 independent samples ( = 443,556).

The papers in this issue examine how different countries implement industrial policy for sustainable development from a variety of perspectives. A successful transition to sustainable development seems to require not only the mix of carrots and sticks but also a right mix of creation versus destruction, as in the case of the creation of renewable businesses and the destruction of fossil-fuel businesses.
