Based on the bidirectional electromigration (BIEM) technique, a corrosion inhibitor solution was prepared by mixing 1 mol/L triethylene tetramine with deionized water. The effects of current density, charging time, and corrosion inhibitor on critical current density and hydrogen content of rebar were investigated. To investigate the water damage at the interface between emulsified asphalt and aggregate under the action of external water infiltration, firstly, cetyltrimethylammonium bromide was used as an emulsifier to prepare emulsified asphalt in the laboratory, and its basic properties were tested. Then, based on molecular dynamics, an emulsified asphalt-aggregate interface model with different water contents was constructed to calculate the adhesion work of the emulsified asphalt-aggregate interface. The results show that the simulated values of emulsified asphalt density, cohesive energy density, and solubility are in good agreement with the experimental values.

Aiming at this problem, a quantitative characterization model of the compressive strength and elastic modulus of recycled concrete based on pore grading was established in this paper. The compressive strength, elastic modulus, porosity and distribution of pore size of recycled concrete were measured by a concrete test and nuclear magnetic resonance technology, and the influences of different pore sizes on the compressive strength and elastic modulus of recycled concrete were analyzed, and the rationality of the quantitative characterization model was verified.

In Southeast Guizhou, a region of China rich in ethnic diversity, the cultural landscapes of ethnic villages are increasingly vulnerable under the pressures of urbanization and tourism development. This study assesses the vulnerability of 43 ethnic villages in Leishan County using the Vulnerability Scoring Diagram (VSD) model, which evaluates exposure, sensitivity, and coping ability. Analyses using spatial autocorrelation and geographic weighted regression reveal distinct spatial patterns of vulnerability, with the northern region exhibiting higher vulnerability indices than the southern region.

Dental operations inherently involve a high risk of airborne cross-infection among medical staff and patients due to the exposure of respiratory secretions, which contain pathogenic microorganisms and typically spread in the form of aerosols. In order to contribute to the understanding of aerosol dynamics during dental operation and efficiently mitigate their dispersion and deposition through appropriate ventilation, 3D numerical simulations and full-scale experimental measurements were performed in this study. Exposure to vanadium (V) occurs through the ingestion of contaminated water, polluted soil, V-containing foods and medications, and the toxicity and absorption during the small intestine phase after oral ingestion play crucial roles in the ultimate health hazards posed by V. In this study, the human colon adenocarcinoma (Caco-2) cells were selected as an intestinal absorption model to investigate the uptake and cytotoxicity of vanadyl sulfate (VOSO) and sodium orthovanadate (NaVO). Our results confirmed the cytotoxic effects of V(IV) and V(V) and revealed a greater toxicity of V(IV) than V(V) towards Caco-2 cells.

Current research on building carbon emissions primarily focuses on various carbon emission assessment models and the use of life cycle analysis to evaluate overall building carbon emissions, with limited attention given to excavation engineering. Based on the life cycle method and process analysis, this study analyzes carbon emissions in excavation engineering by optimizing the evaluation model for fuel consumption standards of freight vehicles during the transportation phase in China.
