In this global phase 2 study in patients with relapsed/refractory follicular lymphoma (FL), zandelisib was administered on intermittent dosing to mitigate immune-related adverse events and infections that have been reported with oral PI3Kδ inhibitors administered daily continuously. Eligible patients with measurable disease and progression after at least two prior therapies were administered zandelisib until disease progression or intolerability. The primary efficacy endpoint was objective response rate (ORR) and the key secondary efficacy endpoint was duration of response (DOR).

High stromal tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (sTILs) in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) are associated with pathological complete response (pCR) after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). Histopathological assessment of sTILs in TNBC biopsies is characterized by substantial interobserver variability, but it is unknown whether this affects its association with pCR. Here, we aimed to investigate the degree of interobserver variability in an international study, and its impact on the relationship between sTILs and pCR.

We compared data from a cohort of patients undergoing lumbar percutaneous pedicle screw placement using io3DF alone or in combination with spine navigation.

An Unusual Case of Ureteral Perforation in Minimally Invasive Pedicle Screw Instrumentation: Case Report and Review of the Literature.

Background: Injury of the ureter is a potentially devastating complication most often reported in gynecologic, colorectal, or vascular pelvic surgery or endoscopic procedures for ureteric diseases. We report a rare case of ureteral rupture occurring as a complication of percutaneous pedicle screw placement.

Case Description: A 60-year-old man reported unbearable abdominal pain on the day after right L4-L5 transforaminal intervertebral fusion and percutaneous pedicle screw placement.

Spine Navigation Based on 3-Dimensional Robotic Fluoroscopy for Accurate Percutaneous Pedicle Screw Placement: A Prospective Study of 66 Consecutive Cases.

Background: Minimally invasive spine surgery is associated with obstructed visibility of anatomic landmarks and increased radiation exposure, leading to higher incidence of pedicle screw mispositioning. To address these drawbacks, intraoperative 3-dimensional fluoroscopy (io3DF) and navigation are being increasingly used. We aimed to present our dedicated multifunctional hybrid operating room (HyOR) setup and evaluate the accuracy and safety of io3DF image-guided spinal navigation in transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion with percutaneous pedicle screw (PPS) placement.

Trisomy rescue mechanism: the case of concomitant mosaic trisomy 14 and maternal uniparental disomy 14 in a 15-year-old girl.

Maternal uniparental disomy of chromosome 14 (upd(14)mat) is responsible for a Prader-Willi-like syndrome with precocious puberty. Although upd(14) is often hypothesized to result from trisomy rescue mechanism, T14 cell lines are usually not found with postnatal cytogenetic investigations. We report the coexistence of both chromosomal abnormalities in a 15-year-old girl.

Background And Aim: Worldwide there is scientific discussion about the dietary management of galactosemia. The dietary management is very different in several countries among Europe, the US and Canada. The main points of discussion are related to the fact that i) despite a strict diet some patients still have poor outcomes; ii) there is lack of scientific knowledge about the role of endogenous production of galactose on disease evolution, with or without diet.

Combination of gemcitabine and cetuximab in patients with advanced cholangiocarcinoma: a phase II study of the Belgian Group of Digestive Oncology.

Background: Cholangiocarcinomas are uncommon tumours with a poor prognosis, that frequently present epidermal growth factor receptor overexpression.

Methods: In a multi-centre phase II trial, patients with unresectable cholangiocarcinoma, naïve to chemotherapy, received Cetuximab (400 mg/m(2) at week 1, then 250 mg/m(2)/week) and Gemcitabine (1 g/m(2) on day 1, 8 and 15 every 4 weeks). Primary end point was progression-free survival (PFS) rate at 6 months, using a Simon 2-stage design.
