Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) is a well-established treatment for chronic neuropathic pain. However, over- or underdelivery of the SCS may occur because the spacing between the stimulating electrodes and the spinal cord is not fixed; spacing changes with motion and postural shifts may result in variable delivery of the SCS dose and, in turn, a suboptimal therapy experience for the patient. The evoked compound action potential (ECAP)-a measure of neural activation-may be used as a control signal to adapt SCS parameters in real time to compensate for this variability.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the characteristics of auditory processing (AP) in preschool children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) using the speech auditory brainstem response (speech-ABR), which provides insights into the AP of speech signals in the central auditory nervous system (CANS).
Method: A total of 84 preschool children diagnosed with ADHD, aged 4-6 years, were matched with 84 typically developing (TD) children based on gender and age. All children underwent speech-ABR testing, cognitive assessment using the Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence-Fourth Edition or the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Fourth Edition, and a continuous performance test.

Somatosensory evoked potentials (SEPs) are used to assess the functional status of somatosensory pathways during surgical procedures and can help protect patients' neurological integrity intraoperatively. This is a position statement on intraoperative SEP monitoring from the American Society of Neurophysiological Monitoring (ASNM) and updates prior ASNM position statements on SEPs from the years 2005 and 2010. This position statement is endorsed by ASNM and serves as an educational service to the neurophysiological community on the recommended use of SEPs as a neurophysiological monitoring tool.

Motor imagery (MI) based brain computer interface (BCI) has been extensively studied to improve motor recovery for stroke patients by inducing neuroplasticity. However, due to the lower spatial resolution and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of electroencephalograph (EEG), MI based BCI system that involves decoding hand movements within the same limb remains lower classification accuracy and poorer practicality. To overcome the limitations, an adaptive hybrid BCI system combining MI and steady-state visually evoked potential (SSVEP) is developed to improve decoding accuracy while enhancing neural engagement.

Objective: Advancements in microsurgical technique and technology continue to improve outcomes in patients with skull base tumor. The primary cranial nerve eight monitoring systems used in hearing preservation surgery for vestibular schwannomas (VSs) are direct cranial nerve eight monitoring (DCNEM) and auditory brainstem response (ABR), although current guidelines are unable to definitively recommend one over the other due to limited literature on the topic. Thus, further research is needed to determine the utility of DCNEM and ABR.

Its success in part relies upon proper setup of often dozens of electrodes correctly placed and secured upon patients and inserted in specific stimulating and recording receptacles. Background: Real ear analysis is utilized for the verification of the fitting of air conduction hearing devices (ACHDs) in a variety of institutions.
