Introduction: Epilepsy is a disease that affects more than 50 million people worldwide. This most common chronic neurological disorder, which actually represents impairment of some brain structures, makes the patients suffering from epilepsy victims of environmental stigma, which, due to ignorance, is considered them to be mentally ill.
Aim: The aim of the study was to examine the demographic data of epilepsy patients, disease duration, frequency of seizures and type of therapy (mono/polytherapy), determine the existence of depressive symptomatology in patients with epilepsy and to examine predictive gender significance, degree of education, employment status, type of epileptic seizure on the presence of stigma.

Aim To investigate the presence, type and distribution of spontaneous brain and arachnoid herniation into the dural venous sinuses as well as a clinical significance of these herniations. Methods This retrospective - prospective, non-randomised anatomical and clinical study included 990 patients who were referred to Magnetic Resonance Imaging at the Department of Radiology of the Cantonal Hospital in Zenica in the period from January to December 2016. Background European Action on Secondary and Primary Prevention by Intervention to Reduce Events (EUROASPIRE) IV in primary care was a cross-sectional survey carried out by the European Society of Cardiology, EURObservational Research Programme in 2014-2015 in 71 centres from 14 European countries. The main objective was to determine whether the 2012 Joint European Societies' guidelines on cardiovascular disease (CVD) prevention in people at high CVD risk have been followed in clinical practice. Methods: The cross-sectional study included 116 examinees of age 44 to 83 years, distributed in two groups: 80 ACS patients including 40 with acute myocardial infarction (AMI), and 40 with unstable angina pectoris (UAP), and 36 apparently healthy (control group) individuals. Patients with ACS were hospitalized at the Cardiology Clinic, Clinical Centre Sarajevo in the period October- December 2012.

Aim: To investigate effects of post-sampling analysis time, a type of blood samples and collection tubes on blood gas testing.
Methods: This study included 100 patients at the Clinic for Pulmonary Diseases, Clinical Centre Sarajevo. The partial pressure of oxygen (pO2) and carbon dioxide (pCO2), and the oxygen saturation level of hemoglobin (sO2) were analyzed in the arterial blood samples (ABS) and capillary blood samples (CBS) by a potentiometric method using a blood gas analyzer ABL 555 (Radiometer, Copenhagen, Denmark).

A mumps outbreak reported from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina involved 7,895 cases between December 2010 and September 2012. This was the largest outbreak in the country since the introduction of the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine in 1980. The highest disease incidence was found among 15 to 19 year-olds.

Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the association between the number of nosocomial infections prior to necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) diagnosis as well as to evaluated how it contributed to development of NEC in premature infants.
Material And Methods: The study included 51 preterm infants diagnosed with NEC and 71 preterm infants without NEC hospitalized in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) of Clinical Center University of Sarajevo. We evaluated the correlation of the number of nosocomial infections prior to NEC diagnosis with the development of NEC.

Unlabelled: The aim of the study was to investigate symptoms of hyperprolactinemia such as oligomenorrhea, amenorrhea, galactorrhea, and correlation between hyperprolactinemia and MRI of hypophysis in infertile women.
Material And Methods: During the 10 years period, we have studied 87 patients investigated for infertility causes and with hyperprolactinemia findings, in our patients we have controled the serum prolactin levels, performed MRI of hypophysis, evaluated menstrual cycle disturbances and galactorrhea. The highly specific biomarkers for monitoring of SLE disease activity are not yet defined up to date, due to existing of different clinical SLE phenotypes caused by individual genetic variation. Basically, numerous clinical complications follow SLE patients such as nephritis, atherosclerosis and cardial, CNS, gastrointestinal and ophthalmological complications, as well. Their monitoring in clinical SLE management can be evaluated by analysing of specific biochemical parameters and require permanent clinical observation.
